That was unexpected. Everyone already summed up my feelings about this page very good. I really worry about the other Akis. With their only mental health consultant gone now... this can't end well if Rohgir keeps this up

It's never fun to fight with siblings. Rohgir's regret is plain to see. But for him, it's probably choosing between faith and someone he cares about - which for many is a very difficult choice. He honestly believes that he is doing the right thing, even if he understands it to be a little morally gray. I think once the anger wears off, Jahla is going to regret fighting him. Even when he slapped her, the look on his face seemed a bit conflicted to me - as if it was an automatic reaction. But at this point, they've both gone too far to let their pride down. I can't see any of the Akiulfr going with Jahla because although she's part of the "trinity", they haven't known her as long as they have Rohgir. It's not comfortable or safe out there to them. I think that Rohgir might not be entirely truthful, but I imagine he'll tell them that Thakir and Jahla went to see Father, or something.

I'm really worried about Thakir. He just found out everything he knew about the akiulfr was a lie, and now he's lost the only home he's ever known. He's being forced to leave all of these dogs behind, dogs that he has grown incredibly close to from being their priest and baron. Now he has to travel with a dog he's only just getting to know, in a land neither of them have really been able to explore. Really, you could even consider this a death sentence given the circumstances. I also feel really bad for their brother. This is going to crush him. If nothing else, I really hope Jahla says goodbye to him. Even if it's only him.

Banished, wtf ?? Rohgir what are you thinking ? He changed so much, I wonder what happened to him... HE's the one who seems brainwashed... Also, what he said about Father saying the other dogs aren't worthy is very worrisome... I don't think he said that just to give himself credit, I think that's probably part of the truth and there are some Sky Gods that believe that only Akiulfrs are worthy of being Guardians (or whatever that means)
Anyway, I loved these lastest pages. I love the drama haha, but seriously, it hurts like a punch in the face to see the bond between Jahla and Rohgir shattered in such a way...
To be fair to Rohgir, his reasons are understandable. I can see that he's afraid of what the other dogs will do to the Akiulfrs. But he's way too much extreme in his ways and banishing his sister Jahla and Thakir just for saying the stinging truth is insane. Besides, isn't that going to be a problem for Rohgir, to banish two Akiulfrs and 'forcing' them to interact with the other dogs, he who wants to keep the race pure ?
Also, I agree with some of the comments above : I hope Jahla will tell the truth to the other Akiulfrs and offer them to follow her. After all, she is one of the Trinity, I'd like to see Rohgir try to explain why he banished her and his Baron so suddenly.
PS : Jahla's smug face is golden :D

OH MY!!! I did NOT see this coming! And I fear that from now on I will be looking at the Origin Orion Tribe with suspect, as of how Rohgir did, he sounds like his father and feel they're above all the others and will threathen the dogs once they're many enough. I can totally see both Rohgir and Jahla stand on eithr side of a war between Origin Orion and the other dogs on the main island because of this.....
Hope Jahla and Thakir will meet at least one or a few Akis and quick tell them in short that they are banished... As Rohgir will most likely say it's Jahla who's lost faith for spending too much times with weak dogs and cats... And that Thakir spent too much with her and start to believe her lies... Just to wait and see how this will turn out!!
And Kique; you are amazing when it comes to plot twists, and making them work!!

Yeah this is gonna cause all kinds of problems. Then again he may just try and twist it saying she was corrupted by the dogs and lost her faith.

I think Jahla did the right thing by taking her necklace off and shoving it in Rohgir's face, its the final straw for her, that the bond between her and her brothers has been well and truly shattered. Father gave it to her so when she was seperated from them, she would feel her brothers' warmth. But as it stands, that warmth is no longer there, its cold...

I guess, on the last panel Roghir regrets that he lost two members of tribe, two akiulfrs, but not two individuals, especially in Jahla's face, because it's more important for him to keep all aki together and not mixed with other species

The way Roghir is bent in the last panel make me think he might be crying/really affected by having to do that.
I'm really wondering about his motivations tbh.

It was mentionned on Discord at some point that Thakir and the other Akiulfr weren't siblings anymore ( I can't remember why thought )

Jalah should not leave without telling the others the truth. If she does, she is just as guilty. I agree with Jax Gier: I hope she offers any for any others to follow her. I hope Father finds out about Roghir's deceit and does something about it. I love her line in the 5th panel!
2018-06-02 03:20:18 +0000 UTC
It just looks off color because it's squinted so much. Aki's eyes don't turn red like Liulfr because they're not corrupted.

The tribe is really gonna suffer without a priest.. And is Jahla's wound bad enough to scar?
And am I the only one who notices that Roghir's eye looks pretty red in panel 1?
2018-06-02 02:17:39 +0000 UTC
Yeah, but Roghir will probably just lie.
2018-06-02 02:14:45 +0000 UTC
If I was Jahla I would offer any Akiulfr brave enough to follow her to new lands at this point. Questions will be asked of their sudden banishment! I love her ripping off her collar and shoving it at him. Letting him know this no longer means anything to her.

It was explained in “Asmundr” that, unlike their Liulfr ancestors, the Akiulfr don’t need each other’s energy to live; the energy collar that Jahla wore was a gift from Father after she decided to remain on Earth, so that she would always feel close to her brothers, even when they are apart (Rohgir and Argeirr were also given these collars, so as to feel close to their sister, even while separated from her).

Rohgir will probably say they were traitors and lost faith, but I think it's better that it happened this way. Jahla did not show hesitation and just took off the collar and gave it to Rohgir is impactful. And judging by the last panel, I say Rhogir is regretting what he just did but won't admit and probably won't say until later on. Also stating shes on the dogs side and not his

He probably did that cause he doesn’t want them to make the others start questioning or doubting him cause if they do they’ll possibly rebel and he doesn’t want that
2018-06-02 00:57:29 +0000 UTC
Oh wow. I was not expecting this to happen! I thought Rohgir would hold Jahla captive, at the very least, and maybe even Thakir as well. But I didn't expect him to banish both of them! This, to me, really shows how gung-ho Rohgir is about maintaining his leadership of the tribe, and about ensuring the rest of the tribe continues to believe the false history he taught them without question. Not only did Jahla and Thakir both question him, but Thakir also now knows that the tribe's been taught a false history, and that, to me, is why Rohgir banished them both. Because the last thing he'd want is anyone blabbing about this to the other tribe members. I'm glad to see Jahla's rightfully pissed about this, because she has every right to be. As for the fact that she removed the collar the sky gods gave her that allows her to sense her siblings' energy... I don't think her removing it means she has to remain in contact with other akiulfr to stay alive. After all, it was mainly used as a beacon that allowed her to maintain a connection with her siblings when they were apart. And now that she and Thakir are banished, I really wonder what's going to happen with the rest of the Origin Orion tribe. I agree with what one of the other commenters said in that Rohgir will most likely lie about why they were banished, and say they were traitors of some sort. I just wonder how the rest of the tribe will react to this, especially with Thakir being banished as well. Will this simply make them even more submissive to Rohgir's rule, and worsen the tribe's mental health that much more? Or could it possibly lead to Rohgir's tribe rebelling against him? Or will something else happen altogether? I'm not sure what will happen now, but I'm sure Jahla and Thakir won't stand idle in this matter. I'm sure this won't be the last interaction Jahla and Thakir ever have with the Origin Orion tribe, for good or ill.

I think you're right and they have to stay together to live, or at least visit each other often, also I don't think Roghir will tell the tribe what happened, I think he'll probably tell them that Jahla and Thakir are in the wrong and traitors to the tribe

She doesn't need the necklace to stay alive. It was mainly used as something like a beacon so that her siblings will always be close evsn though they are apart.

Holy shit... Definitely did not see this coming. I would have thought that he would have held her captive or something, not banish her. Things will go bad once the pack heard about this.... Wonder if they'll also rise againstRohgir now that one of the Trinity and their Baron is gone since it seems out of place. But I don't really understand why he also banished Thakir ;-; I get the feeling he'll start to fall in similar steps as his father 🤔
Just really hope he doesn't end up twisting the truth about what happened to these two as he did with the Liulfr story >.>
