Cut Corner (blender addon)
Added 2022-01-18 05:19:16 +0000 UTCCut Corner is a small tool for cutting corners of selected faces.
It is useful for creating Sci-Fi model, Spaceship parts, Hard Surface blocks, etc.
You can adjust the size of corners
The cut is done directly on the selected face. All geometries are connected
Auto merge for duplicated corner vertices
After cutting, you can select and extrude it
The tool is best used with Face Cutter (my another addon) for creating complex sci-fi mesh. Or you can just use sub-divide / Knife tool to help with modeling.
Usage
Go to Blender edit mode, face selection mode , select faces.
Then, right click on the viewport , select "Cut Corner" from the bottom of popup context menu.
