Tora Collita

Asmundr never went passed 420 I believe.

Aub

ain't that page 452? XD

Oh wow! You're right! I hadn't realised that. Way to go Kique ^^

Tora Collita

I can’t wait until the next page. This is all so intriguing. And also, one more page, (page 420), and it would be the end of Asmundr! How crazy is that? It really shows Kique’s progress and extensive plot lines to this story. I love how it goes day by day and sometimes hour by hour. It’s really amazing.

Aub

It's interesting to see Flamegarde is apparently allies with the Solar Stag Tribe and Whispervale Tribe on the Home Wiki! That must mean they can't be nearly as brutal as the Meteor Tribe was who had no allies whatsoever when Arenak and Ranach were ruling... Will be interesting to learn their backstory and see why they were so quick to attack before asking any questions!

Nippy

Mistakes were made LOL

FaintSilhouette

I wondered if the one is alive because the one ear is flicked back. Hope so!

JackalHackal

Not to mention we have NO idea what history these guys know and think about "Wolves". They may have made the experience time and time again that wolves mean death and to always attack. That's not right in this case of course, but we are missing whatever history makes them this way, not that it is an excuse.

JackalHackal

I love Jahla's crazy face. so fierce and a total throwback to her dad

JackalHackal

Tribes on Aedra! lol

JackalHackal

I feel as though with no natural predators on the Orion Origin tribe’s island, as well as the safety and sanction of Father growing up, Thakir hasn’t experienced violence or needed fighting. They had no true reason to quarrel on the island. He was also a Priest - a peace maker.

Aub

Well, aren't there another stupid tribe like MT was before Ronja... Who the hell attacks without thinking to creatures what they haven't probably any experience?

Waikku

What if there are legends or stories in this tribe about wolves liufrs?.. and it made them just attack without thinking properly

ElenPanter

Jahla went after the one that bit Thakir, and the tan one hanged onto her shoulder as she moved. I can understand why it looks like the wrong dog at first, but notice the background change and it should clear up

Kique Nordin

Our poor boy Thakir seems to have been unsure of what to do but also makes me wonder if he isn't the one to sort to violence or he was just caught in the moment?

Skittles

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF. Definitively not expecting this :o This definitively leaves the doors open for several possibilities after this encounter and it's so exciting :3 First off, something doesn't seem right about this tribe... They clearly knew that Jahla and Thakir weren't from the island, hence the term wolf, but for them to attack like that? Man, this really does raise the red flags. Going off on my predictions, it could be of three things. NOT to mention that they didn't even let her explain anything before they moved in for the attack... 1- Like the MT, they are not well liked by other tribes (and maybe that's why they're next to the S.S to be kept watch over??) and with that badass looking vibe, it might be that that's just the way they deal with things and probably get in trouble. Not to mention that they are not very social and resourceful anymore. 2- Another possibility might be that like the MT, they are suffering a low population number. Looking at the map, dogs aren't very well equipped to me on mountainous terrain so things are already hard enough for them as it stands, leading them to be more hostile to others and also probably after finding out that one of their cattle was killed. Not to mention that the cold seasons are coming as stated by Fuss so that might also be a factor in the way that they approached the two. 3- Anything new can be frightening so I suppose it's a somewhat natural response. Now, everyone can say that this was not the right approach but at times when you're put in a certain spot and situation, one's mind is mostly clouded, mixing their judgement and I can vouch for that. I can agree that the tribe didn't handle this well and for that they paid a price but this can also lead us to other paths. It might just be me but the Flamegarde seems to be symbolizing and kind of foreshadowing themselves... Wild African dogs are sometimes really reckless once you consider the enemies they've gone against so in a way, this tribe is following in the paw prints of the breed that they resemble? I feel that's the way with the Whispervale as they're more of a cautious and adaptive but one, resembling a bit after the reindeer they take after/worship (?) I'm not saying that all tribes aren't cautious but that's what I've been picking up at least that the animal/object they use for their tribe... I'm hoping I'm even making sense xD Now I'm hoping that the two dogs that are laying there are still hanging in there somehow (despite the blood) as it can still allow the duo to try and make the right impression. Depending on the severity of their wounds, they might be able to save them as I recall that there was a somewhat similar situation in Asmundr when Ranfulr dug his canines in Raela but still managed to survive after they added pressure to her wound. The one under her still seems that it might be alive but not so sure about the other one. So still a very small possibility? If that were to happen, I'm hoping that Jahla and Thakir can find it in their heart to try and save them as this would enable them to know about each other and also understand and put those misunderstanding aside and this would be their chance to connect to the other tribes inhabiting the island. If not, then things don't seem very well. In a way, Jahla and Thakir might have screwed their kind unintentionally (and sadly by just defending themselves) as the survivors may go back to the rest of the tribe/others around and the Akiulfrs might not stand a chance when it comes to them being introduced to the others (if that happens). Not only that but I get the feeling that Rohgir may even feel that his sister doesn't really care about their kind and blame it on her and ultimately Jahla will no longer be welcomed by her kind as she was once their Viscountess... They might also be seen as an (new?) evil spirit as their species is not known (or at least not having been mentioned before) as some may think that they're from Adrea as they have that survivor mechanism (the lights) just like the prey does to survive the ghouls?? So mannnny possibilities but we won't know what happens until the next few pages but I'm really looking forward to it~ *shuts up and buckles up for upcoming pages* P.S- Did they just have their Barons taken out too? O.o

Skittles

Yeah maybe hopefully next page will clear it up for sure :)

VonTriggers

And in last panel, we see that the first dog she killed has a full black tail, which neither the 2 dogs that attacked her had (when loking at the page before). She killed the first dog saving Thakir and then killed the one still hanging on her. Think it might be more clearly in next page to see and such. ^^

Tora Collita

Jahla is a friggin' boss!

Retroleem

Hmm im not sure cause in the last panel its the full orange face dog that looks just like the one Jahla bit into.. And the angel when she attacks just seems alil wierd since it looks like shes attacking the dog next to her. But ah well :)

VonTriggers

I think the dog she attacked in panel 5 is the same one biting into Thakir's neck, and she went after that dog to save her friend.

Tora Collita

From the looks of it, she killed two. It's hard to tell if one of them is still alive judging by all the blood around them.

Spiritstrike

Can't say for sure until the next page. The possibility is low but I think it might be possible for them to still be alive since I know Jahla didn't intend to kill but merely fight them off and as @Viktor mentioned, the Akiulfrs have a hard time trying not to do more harm than intended thanks to their fangs. But there's a chance they might be alive as looking back at Asumdr, applying pressure to the wound (such as what happened with Raela) and as long as it's not extremely deep or hitting anything vital, there's still a chance they might be alive

Skittles

In the 6th panel i can kind of see a glimps of Ranulfer in her there :o ... Oh, and there seems to be a bit of a color mix up of the dog biting Jahla in panel 4 and the one she bites in panel 5 there heads arent the same color.

VonTriggers

Did she kill 2 or 1 of them?

Well, they were probably going to die if they didn't, so fuck the opinions of Flamegarde when your only other option is death.

And for anyone who might say there are too many of them, remember that the meteor tribe is a fraction of what it was when the guild came before, and they were surprised it's even smaller now, so I have to assume that the other tribes are far larger, possibly to the point of having apprenticeships for the jobs required to sustain such a large number of dogs.

Larthan

I could see this being a fragment of the tribe who wanted revenge for the fallen Nova. They all have similar paint, perhaps they're the shepherds and head shepherd?

Larthan

"Team Skull Team Skull!" All I can think about are those gangsta pokemon people who wear skulls as their logo xD. Poor Thakir he just wants to be a happy boi

Nagito

Wow! A lot of people are being quick to judge this tribe and Jahla and Thakir’s defense. Obviously it wasn’t a very honorable way to approach a situation by not hearing out what the other side has to say before a lethal attack, but we clearly know nothing else about the Flamegarde tribe and their ways. Perhaps this isn’t a impulsive or over-dramatic reaction for this tribe - they could easily be fierce and wild-like in their ways, seeking no mercy and seeing things in the sense of “an eye for an eye.” I’m not going to say I don’t like them, as we’ve seen two pages of them so far. I actually think this was super interesting compared to the much seen talking from other tribes before decisions are made. I’m excited to learn more about them. I still think MT is worse lmao. As for Jahla and Thakir, yeah - it’s not the best idea for them to hunt and kill a claimed Nova, but they didn’t realize the earrings before they took it down, only after. They’re doing what they have to in an unknown world - survive. They’ve been traveling aimlessly for a little while now, and to hunt is natural. As for their self-defense, I see nothing wrong with it, even if it ended up in the deaths of two of their members. They attacked and aimed to kill, Jahla defended herself and had to quickly to help Thakir, who isn’t aggressive and hasn’t been in experienced fighting. Their island was peaceful and had no predators or danger. They wouldn’t have reasons to fight, so Thakir needed her help she she ripped through to do so. Even if Jahla doesn’t aim to kill, it’s really hard not to kill someone when your bite comes with long-ass fangs. She’s just defending herself like any normal animal, her bite just comes with an extra and deadly force.

Aub

I’m pretty positive the two left are dead. Her fangs tearing into their throat likely didn’t do them justice lmao.

Aub

Well, that turned worst possible way... I hope Jahla knows that now they should run, and fast. Before even more “problems” appeared

Slmuran

Well, at least now we know that the Flamegarde Tribe seems quite stupid... Attacking some unkwown species without reasoning like that... Jahla can kick anyone's ass, don't mess with her !

Almasi

Welp, not a fan of this tribe. I agree with Viktor on this one, their decision to just jump into attack mode, in attempt to kill (Likes be real here) Jahla and Thakir without at least attempting to have a discussion first, is incredibly stupid and unjustifiable! And it cost them a few members, and I for one don't feel bad for them either. As for Jahla and Thakir, they didn't know the Nova belonged to someone, nor could they help where the portal literally dumped them. And I don't blame Jahla for attacking either, she was defending herself which that in itself is (If you look at a real life standpoint) is NOT a crime. So Jahla and Thakir haven't committed much of one here in this page. Killing the Nova, I get that could be considered one, but like I said, they didn't realize it belonged to someone until after they killed it, and by that time it'd be a waste to just let it sit and rot, may as well put it to use and eat it. So.....yeah there's my 0.2. Flamegarde tribe haven't done a very good job of introducing themselves either lol. They are beautiful yes, but need a bit of work in some social areas by the looks of things.

Thalidan

They didn't know it belonged to someone else until after they killed it, and at that point, it would almost be more disrespectful to leave it to waste.

JackalHackal

They couldn't exactly help where the portal dumped them out, and they didn't know the nova belonged to anybody until after they killed it. How could they have known they were trespassing or poaching? They were dumped where they were and they had to get through somehow.

JackalHackal

Ouch, those other two need a bandaid and tetanus shots.

Corvin

I feel this attack stemmed from their killing and eating of a claimed Nova, one they admired enough to put earrings on. I could see them regarding such "immoral" or "savage" behavior only befitting of wild, vicious wolves, and possibly an act worthy of death itself, if they revere the Nova enough.

Larthan

On a side note, this tribe is extremely aggressive for no actual reasons, unless they already encountered Akiulfrs/ShieldWolves in the past. Their attack was completely unjustified and free. I have legit no sympathy for the wounds/death it caused their members ; it was a stupid and rash decision of them to go to such extreme. They legit acted like the Meteor Tribe, even more barbaric because their intent was to kill on sight and not to capture. I feel like it's going to be a case of "they were evil first" "no they were" between these two groups. It's not a kind of thing I like but it would make sense in a way. But definitely rash decision and lack of wisdom-before-act from Flamegarde.

Viktor

To be honest, I don't think Jahla's or any Aki's goal is to "kill". Their fangs are just so long it's practically //impossible// for them not to give deadly wounds : They CAN'T bite without planting those two massive "knife" in what they bite. Which to me bring an interesting point that could be addressed if this situation end up in a "trial" before judges and shits. They can't exactly bite in defense without the wounds being catastrophic, it's like a physical curse for them, legitly. And i kind of love that.

Viktor

what an aggressive tribe. I get that it's wrong to kill another tribes livestock, I get that they're mad. But they didn't even ask why before attacking 😱

KatrineSL95

Pretty sure that them killing two of the Flamegarde Tribe members, won't help on the way Flamegarde sees them hahaha. Good on you for saving yourself and Thakir though, Jahla.

Matthew Hansen

I know that they're trespassing and killed one of their nova's, but... launching an attack like that so suddenly with the intent to kill is... concerning. What Jahla and Thakir did was very wrong. They poached an animal that wasn't theirs, and it was obvious that they tracked them down from the carcass. While they could have asked for some food, I can see why they didn't as well. Their species is new, and it isn't exactly the best way to introduce them - especially since they're "aliens", perhaps seen as "spirits" or "gods" in some light, but it's WAY worse introducing your species by just killing. Not only killing, but trespassing. As experienced as Jahla is, I would have thought she'd think this through way more, because it was obvious they were livestock owned by someone, and it was obvious they weren't going to get away with it because they'd leave a scent behind, tracks, as well as other things that the tribe was able to use in order to locate them. Jahla's actions here seem a little more naive than they are experienced, as it says on her profile. Then again, even experienced people have their downfalls and moments, so. Now not only have they killed livestock and trespassed, but they also killed dogs - it's murder. Perhaps not cold blooded murder, perhaps killing in defense, but it seems like many in Aedra would think differently. Perhaps this is what that sketch was. Perhaps these two become captured or held hostage for their actions. Jahla was able to take out two dogs by herself with little to no issue, so obviously the tribe will take note of this... Thakir seems a little more new to this, counting the fact he didn't fight back or anything. He seems a little more submissive than the aggressive Jahla. What these two need to do is get out of there. There's no more remedying this situation. The tribe now see's these two as predatory monsters - competition and enemies. There's little amount of talking that could help them now. Running can also be bad, because you're avoiding a crime, and it just adds onto the horribleness of this situation, given that no one has seen their species yet. I'm gonna guess that these two start moving immediately in order to avoid more confrontation with this tribe, but just like with Avanti, I have a strong suspicion and feeling that this won't be the last encounter these two have with this tribe.

Vizeryn

I was just curious, the page was almost complete by the time that I asked X)

Kique Nordin

Now I understand why you asked ous who was our favorite dogs! xDD

Xana Akai

Geezus, that escalated fast. The Jarl of Flamegarde (is he the Jarl or the Baron?) strikes me as someone who jumps into the fire without thinking. No pun intended.

Spiritstrike

Well that was a disaster!! What a pointless attack! Please tell me the other two doggies aren't dead. It would be so sad to have had to kill them over a misunderstanding if the reason for the attack was because they thought they were wolves and maybe not related to the game animal after all. It seems like they clearly weren't expecting that much of a fight.

JackalHackal

All these ghoul eyes glowing in the first panel ._. Yep, definitely not the best way to introduce your species. But this tribe isn't much for deescalating a situation either by the looks of it. I just hope Jahla didn't kill anyone... The last thing they need is a bounty, or trouble with the matriarch. Sitting on the edge of my chair here, so looking forward to see where this is going.

Yami

This got serious very quickly O.o
