Thanks! Poor thing tho :/ I can't help but pity her, yes she is clearly the one who killed Jonna, but it's not like she has a choice/is able to choose her own actions. And Ranach is just using her.

@Jessica Evans, also the first night Roamer, Fremja, and Fúss went out to search for any signs of Ranach, they find the shrine and Fúss explains what and how Ávanti is the way she is. :)

In Page 399 Ranach says something about that she becomes his chosen with this blood bond and I think it's also in her description in the wiki :)

LIke many other's have said before me; I can see this whole situation backfiring on Ranach eventually; Much like everything else he's done thus far. Ranach while does his stuff in a crafty way - he's crafty, I'll give him that - but at the same time he's a coward. The epitome of the word in fact. He's always used other's to do his bidding instead of doing it himself. Ranach is a GOOD bad guy and at one point in time, I was hoping he would come around but its obvious this will never be. I can't wait to see him fall - Jonna, while her death isn't too bad of a blow, its saddening that she had to die such a horrid death. That panel with her laying there bloody and lifeless actually really shook me. I almost couldn't look at it. And I've never really been THAT fond of her - personality wise, she wasn't working with a whole lot. But she was still a life who just wanted to be left to live in peace; as she was well deserving of. I'm glad she got to at least die having been able to have been an equal in the tribe and no longer a slave and abused. I'm fearful for Fuss - I really really don't wanna see him die - The next page, frightens me. I wanna see it but at the same time don't lol. But Ranach - I enjoy hating, he's a well written character. But he's just beyond disgusting. I don't want to see anymore deaths but I know that's so unrealistic. Like someone else has stated - its almost like Ranulfr - But I feel like even he was a saint in comparison to Ranach. At least Ranulfr realized his flaws and felt remorse in the end for the things he did, and even went to great lengths to rectify it all. I was fond of him and in fact never hated him, as a matter of fact, he's my favourite character from the first series and really want to see him just appear in this comic and whoop some Ranach butt XD (I often wonder if I'm alone in this manner of thinking lol) - Anyways - Great page, even though it makes me so sad to see a death of this magnitude. I hope it doesn't get worse from here but I fear it will. May Ranach fall but first pay for his crimes before doing so!

Poor little Jonna, but it would have been unrealistic if they would make it out without some dead. I guess Jonna wasn't the last one either, considering how strong their opponent is. But I do think it will backfire to Ranach. Not only because Rogio is alive and well and has moved on, but because it seems to be something that happens to him quite often. All the things he did, Ranach did not with his own strength, he always used other to accomplish something. Rogio had to kill his father, his tribe was used to kill Zilas and capture Kargo and Ferah, he gave Rogio to the nightbeasts, he let Ronja take care of the guild and now he is using the beast to conquer his enemies, a beast who's thinking he's her lover. All of this decisions leaded just to his downfall and using a poor trapped soul will not be any different. Until the point he will take actions on his own, he will always lose whatever he want. Ranulfr also lost nearly everything, but he at least acted on his own, which is why he was more successful in the end and it even made him able to see through his guilt, understanding what he has done to others and what the consequences are. And he really greeted it with a smile, like Fjordor said, but with Ranach...I dunno.

Damn, what a way to really look back and see how Home is so different from Asmundr x) I think like many have pointed out, we know that we would have a death (or a few) and injuries as it's more realistic. Not everything goes into a smooth sailing and it does add further depth and value to it. I am sad to see Jonna gone as I was hoping that she might have had a small chance at least ;-; It's when Alva goes in and seems to be trying to get a response that adds even further despair, not to mention that it seems that Fremja seems to be at a loss. This is the second time someone has been hurt (and now killed) in front of her and she hasn't been able to do much for them. I feel as though this will really hold her down in the future but only time will tell. There's so much to love yet despise in this page xD I'm just hoping our fluffy boi Fuss can get off better than Jonna... Avanti certainly looks ready to murder him but I can't blame her. He's already destroyed her shrine once and she's not about to fall for the same thing twice ¬_¬

Poor Jonna just a horrible way to go.. Im gonna guess here but if Fuss doesnt die we may lose someone more important like Ronja or Rhogio or Vigr since he has been shown abit more.

As Kique answered for me in the Monthly Q & A, it contains the blood of the one who freed her, so in this case yes, it is Ranach’s blood.

Oh my god I know she’d be done. I just had a freaking feeling. Damn it. I swear to god if Fuss gets killed I’m done. His daughter... his wife... without him... I don’t want to think of that. Fuck. But what I really like about this comic and Kique’s way of telling stories is that it isn’t like a Disney fairytale where everyone loved survives. Not all can be saved and trauma happens. Even if it’s intense, I love seeing this shit. But damn. It’s sad to see Jonna fall.

Yeah it looks like after she was grabbed Avanti bit into her head as a killing blow. I was hoping she had a chance too but after you pointed that out... yeah. I kinda wonder why she didn't stay behind. As an artisan I wouldn't think she'd be needed on the front-lines so to speak.
