In the page where Fremja and Inna built the fire some confused Inna with Ferah. I bet there are a lot red dogs out there with white front legs (even we already know 3). And like Viktor said, WE know it's Jahla. For Rhov it's just another red and white dog in the distance with a bag on its head.

I wondered that, too, but man, he sure has to have some dang good composure to see his mate, captured and hooded, and not totally freak out. I'm definitely not sure on that one.

To me there's a difference between speculating and the amount of comments telling it's stupid/Rhov is an horrible mate/make no sense/etc. So I guess these points were needed to be mentionned for those people x)

Size ; The individual obscuring Jahla is a Feline = they're huge in this comic, from the size charts. Smell ; As simple as wind blowing the wrong way and leading the smell away. Colors ; She's hidden by a reddish feline, + visibly red isn't a "rare" color in the Solar Stag or even Aedra ( Ferah, Jonna, etc. ). We know it's Jahla so it look stupid for us not to notice her. BUT Rhovanion doesn't know and doesn't EXPECT it to be her. So relax, people :) It seems 100% logic to me, it's just to forward the suspence, they'll see each other soon enough, just listen the music lol.

rhov looks pretty worried and concerned in the last panel, there's a chance he might have recognized jahla but is keeping quiet for the moment. he's in the middle of a huge tribe he's never been to before and is still an outsider, the last thing he'd want to do is offend/anger them by defending someone who has been deemed a threat/criminal by the tribe

I do think that the individual in front of Jahla in the fifth panel is a feline not a canine, if you look at the first panel there is a feline leading Jahla, it could be the same. It’s not a surprise that they are almost the same size since felines have been shown to be quite large in the comic. Meanwhile, the black dog holding Thakir is smaller than him, so the sizes adds up quite good I dare say. For the colour, I do believe Jahlas summer coat to be a bit duller than her bright and flashy winter coat, if you add dust from the road and a hood I do believe someone would look a bit.. altered.. But maybe I'm thinking to much into this =P

I may be hopeful but, maybe Rhov already has recognized Jahla but decided not to show/tell it right in front of Axi. Maybe he'll tell Feaf later (since she's probably the only one he can trust right now) and they will think of a way to free Jahla together

I get her being obscured. But anyone else remember the size chart posted a long ways back? Jahla is HUGE. And here she's made to look the same size as the other dogs. That's the one thing I don't get. And she does have a very distinct color.

Aki's actually do have a scent, it's only Luifurs (spelled that wrong) that don't. I had asked Kique a while back, when they killed the Nova or so, and did confirm that the Aki's do have a scent ^^

See, I know shield wolves don't leave a scent, but not sure about Aki's - That could be the case here though. That fact didn't even dawn on me! Aha

They're so close!!! Though, depending on the wind. And that one that one holding Jahla is hiding her tail and such, I don't blame Rhov for not recognise her atm. Specially since he definitely not expecting her at all!

If I remember correctly, Luifrs and Akuifurs(Probs spelled it wrong) dont have scents. Im sure Rhov isnt focused enough and is too lost in his own troubles at the moment with the pressure. I can see why he doesnt recognizd Jahla from afar right now.

Hey Axilyah - Can you stop, you know....being such a bitch? Like I really don't understand her reasoning for being such a butthole to Rhov. Its so....like someone else has said - Unbecoming. And I'm frankly starting to dislike her. She gives off this "Holier than thou" kinda vibe - I can't STAND people like that. Like I'm sorry, but no one's better than anyone else - and especially since she's been like this from the moment she came into contact with him, she's never had a real reason to be. Its not like Rhov walked up to her as soon as they met and he was like "Hey btw, you smell like a buttcrack." or something - Then I can understand her not liking him. But because he's never done anything to her to deserve being treated so poorly, its just.....UGH. I can't possibly be the only one not really caring much for her. Anyways - I also am a little meh at the fact that they are SOOOOO close yet so far. (Meaning Rhov and Jahla) - I can't believe he couldn't pick up her scent. Or even recognize those colours from that distance. I mean her colours and markings are so unique it'd be hard to NOT identify them. UGH! Oh Rhov - I hope you and Jahla can reunite sooner rather than later - the Title gives me hope at the very least. I also am LOVING the colours and marking of the dogs in the howling scene - Especially the floppy eared dog. It looks like a darker coloured Ronja! EEEEE! I also hope that Jahla doesn't get into too much trouble - and also hope the viscountess isn't a buttmunch to her X_X - I'm nervous. But Feaf seems like she's apt to have Rhov's back if anything may go down. Here's hoping at least. Seem's like Rhov's found himself a trusted friend in her (I love Feaf).

Just going from the music title, I hope we can see them reunite by the chapter finale like Roamer and Ronja did. Maybe as Rhov is with the Viscountess, they'll meet there. Hoping that turns out to be the case haha
