Definitely seems to be a probable theory, and is well thought-out! I also wanted to add something - I don’t think it’s ever been confirmed that Aedra is all there is on that planet. If I’m correct, it is just an island, isn’t it? So maybe there are more Luilfrs on other islands/land masses? I’m probably wrong but personally I could see that being the case. Maybe it is their true home, and maybe there are more elsewhere!

She is beautiful. So glad Jahla can maybe connect to this side of the family too. I'm not worried about her reaction, but Roghirs if they have to meet at some point. Since she's white I wonder if all shield wolves are white from birth and only the ones with the need of power grew darker. Since they turn white when they die and the disease doesn't effect them anymore. So I guess the writing on the Aki island is from her or at least mentioned her. Makes sense she is the most powerful animal on Aedra, as she is most likely the last remaining native. But do we know that? After all, Aedra is just a huge island in the ocean, there could be more continents and for all we know, the shield wolves maybe aren't done for now.

Okay, so I've had a theory for a while and now seems like the perfect time to throw that out there and also I'm curious to see what others might speculate and also think of why a Liulfr may be the Matriarch. First off, I'm interested to see what she'll speak to Jahla about in regards of the F.G members she killed but hopefully she'll be one to try and reason with her. Alright, onto the theory xD So I’ve always gotten the impression that Jahla was right from the beginning in terms of Adrea being the home of the Liulfr. As mentioned in page 162 by Rhov, she seemed rather fine and accepted the decision of the Sky Gods in terms of being brought here and how most of the Asmundr pack wasn’t made for this world but excluding herself. While she may have been suggesting her group generation was, it did make me question it. Something random to throw into here, but there have been some situations where individuals can actually sense their roots/origins in a matter of going to a certain location or being associated with something of their culture. So this might have been the case with Jahla where it just felt natural if you will, being placed here and maybe even had a déjà vu moment. It is also mentioned several times by Ran and Jahla of how they belong to another world similar to the one of Earth (such as on Asmundr, 119, 441)… Adrea could have also been the land that Kainan's parents were taken, according to the Vardar in Asmundr. Maybe originally, Adrea was home of the Liulfr’s and Earth was to regular dogs but in some conflict or another with the Sky Gods or some sort, they were taken elsewhere? "This is not what our creators intended" – Asmundr, 103. Rohgir, Ran’s father, had mentioned this and it does in a way support that just like Kainan, the gods had something planned for them but in this case, it was never reached as they ended up trying to kill each other or ended up being killed by the natives. While it was never stated (don’t’ think so), it might be possible that once the Lui’s were brought to Earth, they ended up falling prey to a “disease” (or something like greed) and in that, it led them to become uncontrollable and that resulted in the Gods to take the dogs of Earth at the time to Adrea, eventually flipping the species and what not in order to escape the other as they could have ultimately killed each other off completely, as it happened with Rheavs. This could also explain why the dogs had spears as a measure to protect themselves from the Lui’s as depending what it was that led to the Lui’s being brought, it could have been against what the Gods believed or not such as some of the Gods preparing Earth’s dogs on this. Adrea then was “restarted” and it has been thirty years or so as the dogs have now taken root and brought here after the Luilfr’s were introduced to Earth. This would fit when Ferah and Kargo explain to Roamer about their kind's past and why there wasn't much on an explanation behind it was it was something that was never planned in the first place, the lights marking the years after they were brought to Adrea (114). Now, what about the Lui’s before that time? It could be curve ball, but what if Rohgir and Ran’s mother were the Viscountess and Jarl of the pack? It would explain why Rohgir seemed much more collected and knew a lot more than the others and was the example of the bunch when we had that flashback in Asmundr. Though exact details were never given out, it’s unsure of when the red eyes came into play, either before or after being brought to earth (or I just totally forgot). There is a chance that it did occur in Adrea and by the time they were taken to Earth, most of the pack had it and that’s what ultimately brought them to their demise. Another point that could work with this would be that Ran’s mother was the sole exception and was even immune to the red eye disease so hence why she was kept on Adrea (if it turns out to be her). Rohgir would then go with the pack as the pack’s Jarl and to support his tribe which could have or not been given on the gods orders or something that the pair came up with in order to save their species if they were in fact the ones who proposed the idea and the disease was present by then. Ran was also sent as it shows on page 103 of him already having the red eye as he was already infected from the looks of it. To add even more, I do believe that the Sky Gods were rather close to the Lui’s as explained by Rohgir in page 103 and then later on with support from Ran in pages as well as Jahla and her siblings able to communicate with them. Kainan seems to be the sole exception but I do believe that this could tie in to page 103 once more. “Then suddenly... whoever it was that kept us in chains released us.” Never revealing who it was, I have a hunch that it could have been Ran’s mother who remained on Adrea alongside the gods as after they witnessed that the pack couldn’t be saved, it was the only way to “save” their kind. Essentially committing genocide, it was chosen after they seemed to be at the point of no return. But of course, Ran’s father was much smarter and while the duo managed to survive, it left him all alone in the end and eventually he was infected. It would have been interesting to see what would have happened should the Luilfr’s done what was intended for them as they could have ultimately survived but would have faced off with humans. But this of course was not reached as it appears the Luilfr’s were given a second chance but even then, the disease had still spread too far and they were eventually killed off by Kainan’s pack. Flash forward a few years and in that, either the gods or she could have wanted to see if there was even a remote chance (because we always try to achieve things that aren’t meant to be – like bringing dinosaurs back to life which isn’t a smart idea, especially by doing a carnivore first xD) and they used Lifa to save Ranulfr after they found out he was the sole survivor. They hoped to save him with a more natural approach but even that failed but as a result, Aki’s were created and they might be the ones who carry the weight of doing what the gods intended the Lui’s to originally do. . In the end, it seemed that the Luilfr’s were destined to die out either way as mentioned by Ran in Asmundr 434 but the Gods still tried to avoid that path. As an extra, it would definitively be awesome for the white Lui’s to be Ran’s mother and Jahla’s grandmother. I do believe that once the dogs of Earth were brought to Adrea, she was the one teaching them how to get around and hence she was also seen as a deity or such and eventually crowned as the Matriach for being the one to have come from gods and also as the “original” if you will. Not to mention that she seems to be more advanced than the dogs from Earth and is the most mature of them. Going back to the theory of the Lui’s demise, it also wouldn’t just be anyone who could commit genocide, especially to kill her mate and son in the process so that could also show how she’s able to take decisions without being personally influenced and able to think outside the box for a greater cause and why she could have been named as the Matriarch. Some info may be wrong or yet to be supported so it depends on the future pages and content xD Referring to red eye as I can’t remember at the moment the name for it and yeah. Get that the timeline doesn’t really fit too that could have happened a bit differently, just trying to get things on a base of some sort.

I'm pretty sure someone mentioned it before but what if this is Jahla's grandmother/Ranulfr's mother? She was never mentioned before and this is certainly an interesting way to see her being introduced. I might be wrong but when Ran did pass away, he did have blue eyes and while it's not the same shade, it's still somewhat similar. Sure, the disease/curse (forgot the term for it) did give them red eyes, but that wasn't always the color they were born with. Not to mention that it does seem odd that it's the first thing she asks???
