I just noticed that Aira has a bird on her butt. That's adorable.

Rhov and Jahla are a straight couple. Ronja had potential straight relationships with Roamer and Ranach. And Keirr showed interest in Ferah once. From the original group (not counting the Aedra characters) only Roamer is in a same-sex relationship.

Keirr better nit say nun if aira turns on him then try to turn around and apologize like he did last time. It be nice for someone to put Keirr in his place she was worried about him he better be grateful he has someone like that cause atm he has no one but her somewhat. And quite frankly I hope Keirr isn’t into males we’ve yet to see a straight couple so far in any of the main characters.

I love the Markings on Aira, she is such a beautiful character. *-* I'm not rally happy about the progress of their relationship, i thought they could be more than friends.... but when i see how playful keirr an Raun are, it breaks my heart because of Aira. Maybe she is intrested in more but Keirr isn't? It reminds me of Roamer and Ronja... its nearly the same.

It seems like something is bothering Keirr. I don’t blame him for asking for space – he’s not obliged to tell her about his going-ons and it’s fair that he points it out and suggest Aira to socialize with others. It can be heavy when someone is just following you around and expects you to be there and you to explain your every move - it was Airas own decision to follow Keirr and join the tribe. And I don’t think Keirr is wrong. It would be good for Aira to have other dogs around. It can’t be healthy/good to connect with only one person. That won’t create sense of belonging in tribe. I hope that with this Aira is encouraged to work for herself and with time gets courage to get to know the tribe.

So this is an intriguing page sequence. Long comment coming up.
On the previous page we see Kierr and Raunn concluding their journey as they get back to camp. Kierr's playful, "...it's not like I had much of a choice" (in regards to Raun coming with him on the trip), while smiling and giving him the side eye. Then Raun gets closer to him, says how he had a good time, and kierr looks kind of perturbed. Raun invites him to go on another trip sometime and Kierr slinks off while Raun looks a bit confused at his reaction. They were like an inch away from each other in the second to last panel of last page.
Next page, this page, the first panel is Kierr looking really bothered. He's thinking hard about something and looks like he feels stressed and maybe even upset after last page. Aira comes up to him just happy to see him, as she should be, and Kierr unexpectedly, from her perspective, shoves her aside and tells her off. He vents his discomfort about whatever just happened by being snappy with her and interrupted from his worries.
So what I'm wondering is- what's he upset about? Some think he's upset about what they found on their trip, relating to his pack, but his language and behavior seemed pretty content/unbothered/even playful for multiple pages RIGHT until raun told him how much he enjoyed the trip.
They were just a few pages ago playfighting in the water and laying/standing over each other. But when Raun acknowledges the fun they had in the second to last page, Kierr responds like he didn't want to hear that. Like if you don't acknowledge something, then it's not real, that kind of thing. Which is a bizarre behavior coming from him in this situation, from what I thought I knew about Kierr.
So I have two thoughts on what might possibly be happening, besides the worries about his family:
1) Kierr realizes Raun is interested in him when Raun is open and tells him he had a good time and wants to do it again. Kierr's thrown off and didn't realize Raun might've been flirting with him. Maybe he feels disturbed by that? Maybe he's thinking back on their journey and questioning things?
2) Kierr's into it and didn't realize until last page. He's very comfortable around Raun and they did have a good time together on the trip, even letting Raun convince him into playing, which we don't see Kierr do much of at all. Kierr's pretty stoic and doesn't spend much pagetime being goofy. It's significant to see a rare moment of him being goofy shared with Raun instead of Aira.
TLDR I don't get the feeling that he's upset about what they found on the trip. I do get the feeling that he's upset about something that happened in the last page with Raun. I don't know if Raun is into him, or if Kierr is into him, or anything for certain. It's just the vibes. The body language, the closeness they've had in the past few pages, to the immediate contrast of him being kind of confrontational with Aira. Being controlled and polite to Raun while not caring at all how he talks to Aira, even though it's hurtful. He barely even looks at her. Meanwhile on the last page he doesn't break eye contact with Raun.
???
Maybe he really is just upset about the tribe, but to me it's not enough of an explanation for the stuff we've seen. Why be sensitive to Raun but a jerk to Aira seconds later??
I like the prospect of Kierr and Raun together, they have amazing chemistry. I've always seen Kierr being kind of traditional and a bit asexual, though, so seeing him with Raun has been surprisng.

Its taken me a while to muster up all the things I wanna say about this so here goes: So I understand Keirr being tired or Drained; both physically and emotionally, from this trip BUT - He was the one who chose to go and look for them, so its not Aira's fault he's tired. In relationships whether or not they are romantic or just basic friendship its never okay to just shove your friend to the side; I speak this way because I'm a married person - I've been with the same guy for almost 20 years - 12 of these years have been marriage (as I'm currently still married to him) And I know all about being drained and way too tired to really do much. I'll come home after working all day and then hitting the store to shop when I get off before I go home, and boy am I ever tired. But I can't just shove my loved ones to the side; meaning my son, and husband, and also my best friend. I mean, I wouldn't want them to shove me to the side so I would never in my life make them feel like a burden, because that's not how you treat those you care about. Being tired, sad etc is NOT a good enough excuse. Aira was simply happy to see him. Sh*t if my best friend left out of no where and didn't say anything I'd be worried as all heck about where they went, if they're okay, should I send out a search and rescue party etc? Cuz Aira unlike Keirr, knows all too well the real horrors of this planet - She's seen some real stuff and so thus she has more than every right to worry about him. He's a grown dog, yes. But its still nice to consider those who both you care about and care about you its just how things should go down in a perfect world. I think its bs that he shoved her to the side like that - he was way too hard on her. She's been through a lot - But that's not even the real reason why. You don't do that to people period. Consider their feelings. Is she a bit clingy...yes, definitely but some people are. She has low self confidence so that's to be expected. Either way - Nice page as always, I just hope that Aira doesn't suffer to much heartache from being talked too like this. ALSO I'm gonna touch on the subject of him telling her she should make friends with the tribe - Uhhhh, maybe she doesn't want too? I mean, just like S. Petersen said, maybe she doesn't want to get too attached to them considering Keirr only said they'd hang out with these people long enough to know where his family is - Like she didn't want to stay with them, she felt she had to because Keirr insisted. Soooooo - Yeah can't blame her for not wanting to get too involved since the goal originally was to just stay temporarily so there for no real point in becoming too friendly if you don't plan to stay....Just my 0.2 eh.

I'll be upset if someone doesn't correct Keirr here. He should have told her he was going, that would have been the right thing for a friend to do. And maybe Aira doesn't want to get too attached to this tribe, knowing that Keirr wants to go back to his family.

I know some will disagree with me and that's okay, but Kierr is right. It may not be easy to do, but she really should make friends. As someone who is a lot like her, it is unhealthy to form that dependence on him. That said, I understand she isn't socially educated and hasn't learned this yet. It might take that small sting to make her realize she can't hang all over him all the time. But they are both flawed so I love the jarring interaction between the two.

Aww poor Aira, she greets him with a big smile and he doesn´t even bother to say "hello" just a "not now" as if she´s some sort of pet that can be brushed aside.
Though it´s those character flaws that make this story so appealing as they feel all too real.

I hear that more often than I wish, “You or I deserve better” is something people shout way to soon and way to easy. What makes them so deserving? To me it just means there acting all entitled. That’s one hell of a character flaw!
This is I think the first time I seen him mess up this badly. He might not love her the way she obviously loves him but I’d not toss there friendship out the window because of this. The whole idea that there are perfect people out there who won’t make those mistakes is laughable. There are people out there who made those mistakes with someone els and learned from them and might not make them again as soon. He’s a good guy, she can go look for an other friend but she’d be losing a good friend now if she gave up on him.
A person is made up of good and bad qualities. If you only love the good then your not loving the person as a whole and your relationship is doomed to fail. Love someone for all there perfect imperfections.

Dang. That’s a bit harsh.
Technically he’s right about her needing to get out on her own more. But he’s going all wrong about it and with words like that he’s throwing her back in the pit she just crawled out off. I hope he realizes that quickly and makes up.

Keirr you're literally her only friend! I know that you're in bad mood and all, but you could have let her down more gently! And if you want her to make friends, and you see her struggling, then H E L P H E R! Making friends isn't easy, you know... People rejecting and bullying her is the reason why she turned to the gods/demons, remember? This may be tough love we see, but personally I think thought love is just another word for mental abuse and there is a 50/50 chance that it even does anything good in the long run... Get the stick out of your ass Keirr and stop being an asshole to Aira!

Keirr... I understand you, you didn't find what you hoped for, and just wish to be alone... And when one feels like that, words come out harsh...
I feel sorry for Aira though... Even if there is some truth behind Keirr's words...
