I hope Aira talks to him about the dangers of dwelling on your insecurities, maybe chews his ear off about how he has grown more bonds that he's ignoring because of an unknown issue (he doesn't know his family has been moved so I'm sure he assumes they've been taken by the night beasts).

It's so nice of Aira to worry about him despite the fact he kind of was an ass towards her, but she's looking past it, understanding his behavior. It is a nice contrast with the other two who don't really know Keirr vs Aira, who got to know him a bit more.

He must feel so torn, between the new family he can have at Whispervale and his real family he can't find. Pretty sure he's feeling guilty and that's why he's been so distant lately.
