I get this just.... SAD feeling from Zilas. I get Keir being depressed, but this is really the first time we've seen complex emotion from a ghoul. It's heartbreaking.

In a way... I kind of hope Zilas is still alive but that's probably way off. It may be as how Fjordor mentioned before that they start as themselves and slowly turn into a ghoul. Ad some have mentioned, it seems that he's reaching for his rope collar and he hasn't been very aggressive. He doesn't like as like deformed(?) As Savas did but it could again be because he wasn't killed off too long ago but because he looks pretty emaciated, it still gives me that sliver of hope that maybe he just might be alive...? Though poor Zilas, I can tell he was tortured quite a bit before he was killed and the cuts on his neck prove that ;^;

This is the one of the best of all pages on this comic, I had a shiver when I saw Zilas, I almost heard a thunder when he appears. So emotional scene, creepy and full of sadness in the same time, you're the best, Kique! I wonder if ghouls have some flashes from past lives, if they know about who they were before. On the last panel it seems like Zilas doesn't want attacking Keirr, but almost like he want catch his necklace... At least I want that will happen, it will be heartbreaking if Keirr must fight against his best friend (or with what remained from him). I'm afraid that Aira's scream may couse a lot of trouble, if it enrage Zilas. Btw, I can't wait to know where the Ghouls come from. I wonder if their appearance is somehow connected with fact, that dogs and cats on Aedra don't age. Maybe someone praid to wrong gods? One blessing for one curse, like it was in Aira's case? It would be interesting!

Yeah he's holding together really well for having been "dead" for 2 months. That's a long time to be still bleeding, have mostly all his fur, still have eye color, etc. I also just noticed that Zilas is sitting in the last panel, that's not a very attacking posture, and his approach seemed slow and deliberate too

As much as I love Zilas I'm hoping that there's no way to change a dog or cat back from becoming a night beast/ghoul. I want it to be one of the things that not even the sky gods can fix. I do hope that there will be a way to at least put a Night Beast/Ghoul to rest since they're both living and dead and always seem to be in pain due to their wounds or painful transformation into a NB.

Maybe with the lightening creating light in the first panel Zilas appears in it could be possible he may still be some what alive within hence his eye coloring hasn’t changed, also his skin hasn’t shredded off in anyway, it has been a good while since he was killed by the meteor tribe dogs. I am still hoping Zilas can come back. Possibly there is still light in the dark for him.. fingers crossed in the next page instead of trying to attack Kierr maybe Zilas slightly remembers him. :/

This, right here... makes my heart hurt. I was at work so I couldn't really respond like I wanted to, but this definitely brought tears to my eyes. Keirr is shocked...but that doesn't even begin to describe the emotions I see in his eyes. They were brothers, despite their species differences. Keirr took Zilas' death the hardest. His bond with him was closer. I do like how others have pointed out that Zilas' eyes retained their color. Savas was killed and later we see him reacting to Jahla and Thakir...but his eyes were glazed over. So far (or at least what I remember) Night Beasts have glazed over eyes. Even with Rogio (in his dreams) his eyes are milky. I think there's something behind that (as for what... I have no idea)

Fjordor more or less told them, they stick to what they knew...Rhov is too far, Jahla was as well...Asmundr pack gone. Obviously would Zilas follow Keirr and no one else. Roamer surely was close to him too, yet he was on the move all that time. Poor Zilas, poor Keirr. This whole scene, as beautiful and haunting it is, breaks my heart for both of them. I am so glad Keirr didn't managed to put Aira completely off, despite his behavior towards her she still cares for him and knowes why he is acting like he does. I feel she can be such a great friend and I do hope both of them, as unlikely as it is, will got out without getting hurt because I do feel, that will help form a strong bond. It is Aira who came running out in the middle of the storm, not Raun, not Felidea or his new tribe, just her. Poor poor Keirr is just in such a dark place right now and even if he survived this encounter, this will only make it worse, seeing his former best friend/brother like this and understanding the true terror of this world.

I feel like Zilas' eyes retaining their color may hint at something, all the other ghouls have had either white or yellow eyes, but have never retained their eye colors after turning. Even Rogio in his nightmares didn't keep his eye color and that was a transitional phase of turning.

Yeh around 2 and a half month. It's said on the wiki Zilas is dead on 1st Veidr Máni (1st month of the year) and we're around more than half of Sárr Máni (3rd month of the year)

I don't think Kierr will have the strength to kill this version of Zilas... So theres a chance that Aira is gonna try and get him away but he wont let her nor the tribe kill Zilas, as that's the only time he'll be able to see Zilas "alive". THATS JUST A THEORY.

I noticed that too. Maybe because he was killed off recently? His pupils aren't there and the color of his eyes are a bit faded so I think you can say he's in the "beginning" stages of becoming a ghoul?
