i think it needs to be looked at less from a “kargo is a superhero” practical perspective and more from the narrative beat. i think we're either about to see a pyrrhic victory where they win but they have no walls, almost no food, likely deaths, winter bearing down on them. or they'll lose and we will see the lowest point of the narrative so far: driven out of their territory, ronja on the verge of birth, dogs dead. kargo is symbolic of this loss, brought down by a dog so much weaker than him. its supposed to feel unfair. its supposed to feel wrong. its he brutal reminder that spirit blessings do not make a dog a god: even the strongest dogs can lose if the situation simply does not go their way, and this hasn't. we're also dealing with a kargo who is finally feeling the weight of his choices and his actions; this page shows a dog who now that ferah is out of direct he honestly looks defeated in his heart. this is so good from a narrative sense, regardless of if he lives or dies now he lost this fight - and what better way to show with a single dog the low point we are about to hit with the tribe as a whole.

While I do understand that Ranach had the upper hand here it still doesn't make sense that Kargo is being defeated so easily in battle. We've been shown he took down his brother, a massive amount of MT males, Aira, the bear. Kargo seems to have the spirit of a beast than an actual bear in all honesty. I know he's not invincible but you've been building him up to be this powerful force to reckon with. Ferah was in danger twice when she was captured by Kargo's brother and when she was hanging on in the waterfall and yet he still managed to kill Aira and the group of meteor dogs. With the brother and the MT lackeys who's to say they didn't try to use her as a hostage to get Kargo to submit? It's never shown if they did or not but if they did Kargo somehow managed to get the upper hand. And whenever Ferah is in danger he gets enraged and tries to fight off enemies to get to her and even when he's injured like with Aira swiping at him he still walked off fine adrenaline or not. I can see where you're coming from with Ranach getting the upper hand, the floor collapsing, and Kargo trying to priorities Ferah and I mean no disrespect really but when you created Kargo he just felt like...this dog who could stop anyone in his track no matter the situation. Now he's severely injured and on the brink of death with someone who compared to Kargo is nothing but a fly. Like I said I mean no disrespect and I get what you're saying when you answered Comet above but it's just really hard to imagine him going down like this since he's taken quite the beating his entire life from many of his enemies.

It would be extremely out of character and unrealistic if Kargo magically resisted a breaking floor and went for Ranach instead of saving Ferah. Ferah is everything to him. Kargo can fight and could kill Ranach, if this was played out on -his- terms, meaning if Ranach didn't get the upper hand by being on top of Kargo before Kargo got up to the wall. Ranach was already on him at that point and got the first slash. Sometimes, battles just don't work out the way they should. Just because a character is strong doesn't mean he's immortal until he battles someone stronger than him. This is supposed to feel unfair.

Kargo can't possibly die this easy, we just learned about the special gift bestowed upon him and Ferah. The one that involved sacrifice from their mothers. It is absolutely mind boggling that he is dying with out even leaving much of a scratch on Ranach. This all doesn't seem right or logical in any way to me personally. It feels like he was almost gotten rid of at this point. We know our boy can fight and now knowing he's blessed even more so. If anything I feel his instinct to fight would be more intense protecting Ferah. Seeing Avanti still barely wounding Rogio is really getting to me to be honest. He didn't even have back up but he's still kicking just find minus a flesh wound. Kargo got wrecked from Ranach being on him just one good time. Who knows, maybe Kargo will have a crazy comeback but I'm feeling doubtful and disappointed at this point.

Kargo, if you die, you will die very to easily. We saw you fighting a lot of dogs, even a bear. I know he was stabbed a lot with the knife, but it's too easy for Ranach... They should have go directly to his throat. Akleja sweetie what are you doing? It's not a good idea y'know... Theory 1: Avanti see Akleja and will kill her cause she's a monster after all, Theory 2: Avanti will not kill her cause she will see something in her, like a pure lighted heart, Theory 3: She will do diversion and Rogio will be able to attack

Oh may, it's still chaos and unpredictable happenings here. Poor, pure Akleja, she's just curious. I wonder if Avanti has some sense of morality to not hurting pups. Or maybe Akleja will distract Avanti and Rogio will be able to make a move. And yeah, good that Kargo said about Rogio, if Ranach will die, he must know and regret his actions. He despise love, but he also has feelings and this is his only weakness. Maybe his words will come back to him and Rogio will become Ranach's death.

If roamer does what i think he's gonna do. he's gonna have some very painful paws. Ranach seems to have lost all reason, and i feel like this chapter may definitely be the end of him. Whether by death, or something potentially worse. Kargo is def fading here i'd say, How this will end for him i'm eager to find out. But as i said on the last page, i feel this may be his ending as well. Akleja, this is not the time for curiosity! Hide missy! Hide! Vandi looks absolutely terrified, and for good reason with what she's been through in her lifetime. I do hope this ends well for Rogio, Akleja and Vandi. What Avanti will do when faced with a pup has me truly curious as to what may happen

I don’t think Ranach knows that (: it seems not many know it, even Rogio didn’t and no one else either. They all just ‘think’ it’s tradition to cremate the bodies in MT. They do not know that they are secretly freeing the dead from becoming ghouls

Maybe the curse is broken by an act of love towards Avanti. Puppies are a bundle of love, maybe Akleja doesn't realize what Avanti did to Rogio yet and does what puppies do best. Giving genuine hugs and kisses and saving her whole tribe with it

Well he‘s not dead yet, even though I have to admit that he looks pretty defeated here. I really hope Roamer will have the chance to do something heroic to save him - he promised Kargo to always be there for him after all.

Well, I must admit I am very disappointed. I can live with the fact that characters die in a story, but Karge being killed so easily after what we have seen before, from just a single weakling like Ranach? Until now, he did not even fight Ranach and that should be - at least - what would make sense. The explanation with Ferah doesn't really satisfy.

I'm hoping that Akleja may be the key for Rogio to defeat Avanti, maybe she is gonna catch Avanti's attention so Rogio can get the upper hand, I am still hoping that Ronja is gonna be the one to end Ranach's life though. We rarely think about Vandi, but in my opinion she must be the one who is suffering the most on this situation, she was abused all her life, she gave birth to Ranach, who then turned into a complete monster, she finds love in Fuss and loses him some time later, now she has to worry about her daughter's safety and probably feels useless at the moment, her head must be spinning at this point. Can we consider Kargo as dead after this page? :( I hope not.

Kargo bringing up Rogio being alive raises my hopes that somehow Rogio WILL end up confronting Ranach. ...and hopefully in the right time so Kargo can still be saved ._.

Another thing that I have noticed is how close in resemblance Akleja looks like Kargo (I know he's not her father, but the Meteor Tribe did turn to inbreeding, so although Fuss wasn't from the Meteor Tribe, everyone was somehow related to everyone else.) I also like the touch of white on Akleja's nose. Ferah has a similar spot on her nose. Coincidence? Probably. But, then again... Another thing I was gonna add to my previous comment was that Kargo's eyes are glassing over. Idk the time all of this is realistically happening, but it's gotta be pretty fast-paced. I see the blood on the knife Ranach is holding. What I'm hoping for is that since it is hinted that Roamer is looking up at Ranach that he will just through and kill Ranach himself. (He did mention he wanted to when he found out about Ronja's pregnancy.)
