Kique Nordin

Who's she howling for? I think I'm confused

WolfieYote

Indeed I agree with a lot of points here and totally respect them. I am also deeply sorry you lost someone dear to you and I hope you have found peace. But as for the story its self it wasn't exactly necessary to have the event of pups and Kargo side by side. I am glad to see it didn't impact the send off and they had an intense and silent farewell and the emotions where very well portrayed in the end. Also, I don't think salty is the proper word Kargo was just a rather interesting character that a lot of people, myself included, thought had a long way to go and much more potential and it felt unnecessarily cruel to end him that quickly. That and him not having even a chance to show his powers and a lot of it was a mixed bag, most of it just feeling forced. Just because he came full circle from a narrative point I personally didn't think he needed to die as he did. It would've been nice to see him experience a good slice of life finally. But that is just my take, it isn't so much salty as being disappointed. I am glad to see some remorse I suppose at least within Roamer and Rogio but it doesn't boost the feelings on it all that much but we'll see.

"A beacon is a kind hearted hello." My heart went out for Jahla. For the first time in a long time, there's hope. It's either Ravencrest (that was the tribe on the other side of Origin Orion) or Ivorysteppe. Something tells me it is Ravencrest and she recognises the howl of the individual who once howled back to her on the night of her banishment. If it is... oh boi!

Spiritstrike

About that how some people have been more or less salty how sudden Kargo's death was and there's not much talking about it, it made me think and I want to tell something My best friend died about 5 years ago in accident. We were not in speaking terms during that and I got the word few days before funerals There was not much talking in funerals but it was the most heart-breaking event I've ever been. There's no words for describe when someone dies suddenly (she was 12) and should there be? Ferah's reaction was very accurate. Kargo was like brother to her and they grew up together, and Kargo saved her life more than once. Pain of losing someone like him is indescribable and they grew up in circumstances where you must carry your pain and worries alone, so her takeoff was only characteristic. For Roamer, Kargo was his first love and he felt great remorse when he "cheated" him with Rogio and ended up being with latter one. There is storm of feelings inside Roamer right now but I'm sure he will speak about them in some point. When, it can't be tell. And about Ronja's labour what started "in bad moment", well, the life goes on no matter what happens. And I don't think Kargo would be mad that his funerals were interrupted by her and pups. Anyway, I'm happy Jahla got a friendly answer! But who are they.. Òó Great ending for the chapter!

Ah, it's so nice to see that this someone has answered her again and now she was able to howl back :D And I really love the pose and light on Jahla on the one but last panel - it would be an awesome background!

I want to express a few things before we move onto the next chapter, but first I want to comment on this page. I am curious to know who's howling back at Jahla. Maybe it's a small tribe starting out like she is or it's one of the tribes that closer to hers. I'm curious to see in the next chapter. Now, I want to express some of my thoughts on Chapter 10 - Light In The Dark. A lot of things happened with Keirr, Rhov, Ferah, and Jahla that was sad, but my focus is going to go on Kargo. I truly feel like Kargo had it rough from the moment where Roamer said goodbye to him to the point where he had that breakdown. Nothing was going right for him and it felt like everyone was giving him a hard time. There was a particular scene in this chapter that I did like and it felt real to me. Kargo's anger towards Rogio. Kargo was hurt and betrayed by someone he once considered a reliable friend but when that friend took Roamer who was the love of his life away from him a few days after their breakup that must've been painful for Kargo. The fight between him and Rogio wasn't right, but I'm glad Kargo didn't accept Rogio's apology while they were tussling because a simple sorry won't always fix the damage that was caused, After that, it led to Kargo's breakdown that I knew was coming and was happy that it finally did. He cried out for help and Roamer was there as a friend to support him as best as he could. I truly thought after that, Kargo was going to be okay and was going to eventually find his new path once Ranach was defeated. I also like that even if Kargo was on slightly better terms with Rogio they still weren't friends and Kique had said it would be determined if they were going to be friends again or not in the future. Kargo might have put a little trust in Rogio that he wouldn't break Roamer's heart but it was obvious that their friendship was over and that it may or may not ever be repaired and that's something I like too, friendships don't last especially when something personal has happened to damage that friendship. After their talk we had seen a lot of the tribe members dancing while Kargo sat and watched, smiling at how happy Roamer was as he was slowly accepting that he would never have Roamer like he once did. However, when Ranach attacked things truly fell apart for his character. I know people are tired of hearing the same thing coming from me and others, but the end of his arc truly felt disappointing and underwhelming. It felt like someone delivering you an empty pizza box after you paid money for it and waited two hours for it to arrive. It felt like I was robbed when Kargo went down the way he did and the fact that Ranach escaped was the added salt to the wounds. Chapter 10 was nice, but it's ending felt like it was lacking for me and I'm happy to finally be moving away from it. But despite everything happening in the end, I'm looking forward to chapter 11.

Aw I like the fire light on Jahla's coat, reminds me when she had her light summer coat <3 I miss it

Kitty

Kique you're on fire! Seriously, you´re going at an incredible speed, I hope you can rest up some the next few days and a big thank you!

Aerophoinix

If it's a tribe it's either ravencrest or ivorysteppe. It would be amazing if it is ravencrest and ends up being the same dog that answered her when she howled on the island before. I hope whoever it is comes and pays her a visit and welcomes her. Would be nice for her to finally be treated warmly and be given a chance. So proud of her for finally having the corage to light the beacon! A light in the dark indeed. I cannot wait to see how her story will continue!

ArtemistheArtist22

I wonder if this is the same one who answered her back on Rohgir's island. I hope it is because I'm so eager to know who answered her ever since it happened x)

Yami

Lonely, but not alone.

Slycan

These last two three pages made me feel warm fuzzy things in my chest HHHHH <3 I really like the close of this chapter even if I didn't like the end of Kargo's arc... This chapter was so nice. Can't wait to see the next one!!! Happy New Year btw Kique!!

GIIANA

A light in the dark! Such a light in the dark for Jahla now. I wonder who it is that answer her?
