I wonder if Ravencrest is potentially thinking of trading Jahla to the Flamegarde Tribe for something they want in return? Wonder how Flamegarde would react if they got the "killer" of their family members in their paws, they would likely jump at an opportunity to avenge their fallen tribe mates?

Thinking about how this all went down it's even more bewildering because Jahla, unlike us readers, don't even know WHY Flameguard even assaulted them. We know it's because they poached a nova from them (which, killing them is still overkill for that tbh) but poor Jahla has no idea that's the reason.

It seems a bit too harsh to merely lock up Jahla based on what the Jarl of the tribe that attacked HER said. He won’t even allow her to say her piece. Instead of jumping to conclusions based on word of mouth, they should bring Jahla to trial to testify her fate. That way she’ll be able to explain what happened and even ask some questions of her own.

You can always tell a good leader by the fact he physically forces one of his subordinates into submission for them calmly critiquing your decisions. Not even threatening mind you just bringing up the opposing idea and making sure you know all the risks and rewards of a your actions. I'm pretty sure this guy will get what's coming to him at some point. It would be nice if he'd have not automatically resorted to extremes with this situation. A good Jarl (in my opinion) would consider multiple solutions and not just jump to so an extreme. Like, I dunno - Talk to Jahla and get her side of the story. Obviously she's not dangerous since you know, if she wanted to, could've dealt with these guys will little to no effort I'm sure. But she didn't. And anyone with two braincells to rub together would see that. I know one can never be TOO careful on this island, but come on....this guy could've talked to her. Asked her why she was there, what she wanted and so on. But no, of course not. And instead chose to do something drastic, that could do exactly what you are trying not to do and that is putting your tribe at risk. I really hope that Rome busts Jahla out, and follows her to Havenreach. Its possible perhaps, I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Poor Rome...at the very least, I'm hoping for two outcomes. One is that he helps Jahla escape. The second is Jahla gets free somehow, with or without his help, and that these asshats get in trouble when everyone hears what they did to her, but Jahla vouches for Rome and that he tried to defend her. That way, the others can be punished accordingly, but Rome won't be stuck getting the blame, too.
