into which he found nothing but pain,
unbearable, icy cold claws of fire,
tearing, scratching, biting,
taking everything that he was,
taking all that he had been,
and all that he would have been,
and leaving behind nothing but an empty, tired husk...
A different take on how Artur felt when he was bitten by the Snake of Chaos at the beginning of his story. A Snake of Chaos' poison acts immediately, and he would have died, eaten alive by the Corruption, had he not been taken immediately into care by Ecidius, the island's Guardian Dragon. Though he lived, Artur was left scarred forever...
