They were dressed quite strikingly different from the Empress, with short, black and dark blue kimonos that were much simpler in design that the Queen's. Meta Knight heard the other soldiers around him whisper among each other, but he soon lost track of what they were saying, for one of the Moons gathering around the Empress's throne caught his eye. She was hard to see; she stood next to the throne, partly hidden behind a veil of violet and crimson, immobile like a statue of jade. She was a Kiridan; the only one he had seen since arriving on this star. He could tell from her looks that she was an hybrid, but still he stood shocked. Her eyes glowed vividly, with the same serious and calm look as the other Moons, but they hid a much brighter fire that caught his own, and he briefly wondered to himself, if he was the only one to have noticed it...
This drawing was more peaceful to work on than yesterday's, I have to say. Hailan is just a peaceful kind of character that I really like to draw, I've come to really adore her design and I keep finding new ways to paint her. Although, believe me when I say, putting a dress/kimono on a Kiridan while still making it look possible to walk around is impossible. xD
