Inktober - 24 - Blind

closed on the outside but wide open on the inside.
What she sees is not what you know,
but what reality is.
When she was born, Hailan was declared blind by the doctors who examined her, but it was only later that her parents and brothers noticed that she could, actually, look at people and see them come and go. She was examined by a shaman from another village down the mountain, and he declared that "she was blinded by the light of the Goddess, and now her sight resides in her realm." What it really means is unknown to her family, but the relief of knowing she could see made up for the mystery; even though they feel it is quite odd that she points to people through the walls...
