The Golden Dragon Of Arranza

[...] Meta quickly raised his arm to protect his eyes from the incoming sharp winds as the gigantic beast landed in front of the altar, feeling his heart drum wildly in his chest when he laid his eyes upon its majesty. Meta was used to feeling short in front of others, but this... Now he felt like he was a meaningless speck of stardust. With a low grunt echoing through the dragon's throat, it bent its long neck forward and approached its large, horned head closer, and though Meta initially wanted to back away, he stood his ground, his feet solidly frozen on the ground.

The dragon's bright blue eyes scanned him intently, from his physical form through his very soul; it felt like he was being judged for all of his past actions and thoughts, like there was no way he could hide anything from those eyes. Finally, low growls that sounded like chuckles echoed from deep within the dragon's ribcage, and it spoke, its lips stretching into what he could recognize as a toothy grin.

"I recognize you... It has been a while since I have seen you last, old friend," it said in a surprisingly good Khaztan accent, much to Meta's confusion. "Though you may not remember, I still do." [...]

Finally! I started this painting back in September, but never finished it because of reasons not even I knew of. I'm glad I went back to it, I refreshed the sketch I was using with something knew and more dynamic and I liked it a lot more like this, so it gave me enough motivation to finish it.

This is an important character from my headcannon, Kintatsu; basically, I have this idea that there are a lot more Guardian Dragons in the likes of Landia out there, and that they are all meant to protect a specific galaxy or part of the Universe. Kintatsu lives on Arranza Star, Hailan's home planet, and watches over Teardrop Galaxy. After The Firefly, I do plan on exploring what happened on Arranza, so keep a look-out for that! Meta is young in that, he doesn't even have the 'Knight' added to his name yet.
