I lost. I had everything I needed to win. Everything was in place to assure my success. I had power. Infinite... power. And now? I was beaten. The Phantom Ruby has abandoned me. I am... back... to square one. Heh.
I'm not even angry. Those two... Mmh. I wonder... if they'll be able to stop the Phantom Ruby now... I could go and see for myself... Ah. My legs won't even move now... I see. Might as well stay and wait... It's all I can do now.
To be honest, what Infinite says in the last panel are the exact words I said when I finished Sonic Forces, except I was laughing. I'll admit, I was a bit (very) bummed out by this game (it's mostly why I took so long to go back to making fanart for it); all I'll say is that there's plenty of room for improvement. I still liked my experience with the game, I really liked Infinite's character, even though some parts of his story felt very lazy to me, and I was very confused as to why he just... vanished, at the end of the game. He just glitched out and Sonic and the Avatar literally just shrugged it off. xD Welp! Can't do much about that other than speculate!
As far as this comic goes, though, I must say I am very, very happy with the result. I went for my usual lineless style for all of it, and I learned a lot about making glitch effects in Photoshop and many other little details to make life easier, so I had a lot of fun all throughout! I have a drawing in the works to go with this comic, I posted a sketch here a short while ago, you can see it here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/wip-infinite-16927531
Hope you enjoy this comic!
