Awakening

The rays of the sun falling through the leaves upon me were of a familiar warmth, yet so unknown. I had laid like this before, in another time perhaps, in another place…
My eyes opened, like a torn curtain fluttering in the wind. The light. The sensations of the water on my face. The warmth of the sun. The coolness of the shade. The grass under me. All was new. All was old.
And with a single blink of an eye, I recalled something particular.
There had been a storm here."
Hello! This is my first painting featuring my Esk character, Thorvald. I am very proud of how this drawing came out! It looked very different when I started it and ended up doing it over because I was not happy with the pose, now I am much more satisfied with it.
Every story has a beginning, and this one starts now.
