This one was very interesting to do, because of how simple I wanted the background to be. It forced me to make the foreground more interesting, which is where I got the idea of putting all these ghostly shapes in Artur's open wing, completely transforming it into something else. He carries them with him, these crystallized shadowy things, and he's probably the only one who can see or feel them, latching on to his hand as he grows. The life and death of a Pale One on Etaliari is a neverending cycle after all; all the previous ones are right behind you.
