The Two Kings

This is another illustration for Bound Fates that I have been working on for a good while now! I kept being distracted with other things while making it, so I am particularly happy to have been able to finish it!
Now this image actually has a lot of lore involved into understanding what it means, and for that we have to go back to what Pale Ones like Artur have to do, what they are made to do, and that is to become King, or Queen. The cycle of life and death on Etaliari is being kept in place thanks to the King, and whenever a new King comes on the throne, an era of peace is established for Etaliari.
This illustration shows what Artur, as a Pale One, should look like once his destiny is accomplished. A young King on a throne, with his father at his side, and the fate of the world inside him. If you look closely, you can see that fate glittering in Artur's eyes...
