That’s probably because Jahla already *has* a mate. She and Rhov have been together for years, and have never officially broken up with each other, meaning that if Jahla and Rome start a relationship, it will essentially be her cheating on Rhov, and most people don’t condone that sort of thing, even in a fictional setting.
