Hi, I was excited for this release when I saw the preview. Having just played the demo though, I am somewhat disappointed. Don't get me wrong, I really appreciate the great work you do and the difficulty involved in producing these games. From a purely selfish and subjective point of view, I found the VHS style of static throughout, to be very annoying and over the top. VHS was only this bad when it had been coppied many many times, like a pirate video. My question would be, is the entire game going to be the same as this demo? or was this just a proof of concept? I understand that there may be perfectly good reasons for the style chosen, but unfortunately, it would make the game unplayable for me. Just my selfish two cents opinion. Keep up the great work however.

2024-03-17 09:52:20 +0000 UTCBut more elaborate answer: I'm not 100% sure what exactly it is. Is it a game (VN) or a video? Will I ever have choices that will change the path of the story? For my personal preference I like games more than plain videos. To be fair, it wasn't that much to see yet. So maybe some questions will be answered if it is fleshed out more.

2024-03-11 22:41:19 +0000 UTCIts there for several reasons. Story reasons and functional reasons and aestetical reasons. Functional, is to mask the artifacts the machine voice leaves. Aestetical, is to make it feel like a VHS ^^
