Starting Inktober 2019 - 01 - Ring

It's this time of year again, time to do the Inktober challenge! As always, I will go at this challenge differently from most people; instead of doing it traditionally with inks, I use the prompts in order to practice grayscale speedpainting.
I have a specific plan for this year's Inktober prompts, and that is to explore very different themes from what I usually do. I'm talking about darker subjects, more experimental things. We'll see how this goes as the month goes on!
For now, I wanted to start with something simple, similar to what I did for the start of the last two Inktobers. The prompt being "Ring", I thought it'd be the perfect time to showcase something specific to Dragon'ck, from Pale Blood; he has a ring, one he has had since before he even lost his left arm. This rather simple ring is ornate with a Pure Crystal, of unknown origin. He never speaks about the ring and never brings it up, but those who observe him long enough can see him rub his thumb on its surface often...
