Feaf and Rhov <3 would be such a huge and beautiful character growth if these two get together !! First time commenting because I love the dynamic between the two very much

They have been together for over two years though, which seems like a long time in this world. But I can totally understand your points. Back on their home planet I imagine things were pretty chill after the first comic ended. Now with everything that has been thrown at them they really aren't the same anymore.
For me they're still kinda that one highschool couple nobody expected to stay together lol. I mean all they went through made them work on the flaws that caused their argument in the first place. This can't be coincidence.

Exactly! Very well-put. It was almost a default relationship in my mind, they were so limited on potential love interests.

Agree with both Larthan and Dunkin. It smells a little like Rov's attempting to string her along because he's scared to go alone. So far we've seen him attempting to fill his father's shoes, but his methods reflects that he's still a pup compared to his dad; he could have banded together with other "seperated" dogs and inspired/lead a pack of his own, but instead he chose to lie and follow the guild. That makes his request appear a little impure right now, even though he could have grown off-screen.
On the other hand, I can also see that he has found a justifying reason to get Feaf to go with him - she needs to grow out of her tribe's expectations and define her own wants and needs. I say "justifying reason" because I personally think that most of it is in her head - the tribe seemed caring, tolerating and loving, and her wish to try something else would probably be welcomed by them. Perhaps that was even why she was pushed for the guild? To attempt to get her out and see the world? Who knows. She does indeed have quite an obvious choice now.

Isn't Ronja his cousin? So none unrelated other to Jahla i think? I also remember how their relationship started right after Jahla had met him, after being isolated from the world her entire time growing up. Back then Rhov was very much flirting with unrelated females he could find, i remember Zilas and Keirr laughing about it with him after a female rejected him. Jahla also had a little innocent crush on his dad, mistaking rhov for him the first time they met. Neither of them is the same person they were when they started dating back then.

We should be more empathetic to Rhov for the fact that he's losing his hope of finding his family after so long and found not a single new lead since, and also, for all he knows, Jahla hates him and doesnt want to be found. She left angry after their first real fight and not a single sign of her since. What he's dealing with is a massive amount of uncertainty.

I'm one of those people that felt like Rhov's and Jahla's relationship was more so done on an impulse and due to inexperience, so I really wouldn't mind at all if they parted ways and found different partners now that they have both grown as characters.

I know a lot of people aren't pleased with this relationship taking a less platonic route as it seems to be, but I honestly think it helps to develop the storyline so much. This is LIFE. This isn't meant to be perfect, the characters have flaws and experiences that change them and their world view. Currently speaking there has been no real cheating even if Rhov and Jahla have essentially both admitted to having feelings for others. As other users have mentioned, Jahla at least knows Rhov is alive and felt the need to tell Rome they needed to remain friends, and is waiting for Rhov. Rhov knows NOTHING about Jahla's current status. He hasn't seen her or heard of her in seasons. This isn't a world where he could call or text or email and talk to her. This is a horribly aggressive intense world where she very well could be dead, or think the same of him and moved on as well. Not to mention they were young when they first got together and had limited options. The only characters in the pack Rhov was not related to of the opposite sex (since he is straight) were Jahla and Ronja who was already interested in Roamer. The only males Jahla had to choose from were Rhov, Zilas (who seemed more interested in felines) and Kierr. Now these characters have seen whole worlds and changed so much. Jahla has moved on to lead her own pack, Rhov is finding himself traveling the world with the guild. They've both grown and experienced so many new things and the dogs they have grown into may no longer be compatible as they once were. And people also seem to forget we could still see them come together and conquer this and be together after acknowledging and discussing their changing feelings. It isn't set in stone that they will end up with Feaf and Rome, though honestly I am for either route. Both are, at the end of the day, great storytelling and character development showing the imperfection in each individual.

I'm gonna be honest; I have suspected Rhov and Jahla to no longer be a thing eventually for a while now. And like someone previously before me stated; this is just a critical and very common part of storytelling. I too have had drastic and not so drastic changes befall my characters too; from Designs, to relationships, to personality as a whole, over the past 15 years or more. Its just a part of storytelling that tends to be a fairly normal happening. As you grow as a writer/artist, your characters evolved and grow with you over time. Its boring to see things stay the same forever when it comes to that. Sometimes a change like that is ideal to spark more creative feelings. As for Rhov and Feaf, I dunno I'm kinda a fan. Especially NOW that we know that her being in the guild is not her own personal wish for herself; she's legit doing it to please her tribe; and honestly that in itself is a crappy thing. Now I have no ill feelings towards her tribe, I'm sure its not meant to be oppressive to her, but you can always want something for someone, but its THEIR choice to follow through or not. And if doing that said thing is not in their best interest than that is OK. It should be because she wants it, not others. So I truly think that Rhov might help her see there's more out there. To live a life she'll be happy living and doing what she wants to do because SHE herself wants to do it. You should never live for someone else, live for YOU. I love this page, its very full of emotion; in a good way. Keep up the great work!

This; every single word of THIS. Very well said.

He's not forcing her; he clearly says "Its your choice" - He's letting her know, he'd like for her to follow because he cares about her; I don't see anything even remotely wrong with this whole thing? Maybe I'm just an old soul though I dunno. But its obvious from this page that joining the Guild wasn't even her personal wish to begin with. Perhaps its time for Feaf to do what SHE wants in life, not what others want for her. Sometimes people come along and break you out of a bad limbo, to show you there's more out there to life than simply settling. Its not right that she's doing this if its not truly what SHE herself wanted for. (Not trying to argue, but that's my take on it).

You are not the only one but I've given hope up on this one long ago. It's a bit of a shame bc I dislike the main relationship (Rogio x Roamer) as well and was always hoping at least the one couple I did like would find each other again but nope...guess not.

I honestly would be so happy to see this blossom, especially now knowing she's only in the guild to please her tribe. And some thoughts re: Jahla's boundaries with Rome vs Rhov's boundaries with Feaf. Jahla has been given a renewed sense of hope that she'll see Rhov again. She knows he's alive and safe, and that he's traveling to find everyone (she just doesn't know his group isn't the one that will visit her). She can very easily set those boundaries while she waits. Rhov knows absolutely nothing. He doesn't even know if Jahla is alive, and we can see this is taking a toll on his emotional state. We can see that his hope is damn near gone even though their journey has barely begun. This world has taken a lot from him and made a lot of things in his life unclear. I don't blame him for not having strong boundaries right now.

If a relationship happens - it happens. Characters change and grow on you, and their choices do to. I can't tell you how many of my own characters have CHANGED over the last ten years of story telling that I have been doing. Sometimes those first relationships just don't make sense anymore with the people those characters become. If something changes between Jahla and him - it happens. I would say its VERY rare for a character to keep the same lover as when they were first 'born' into being written about. ESPECIALLY when that relationship was first started when the creator first started telling the story. As a writer things change - its part of the process, especially if you were YOUNG when you started (Like I was, and like I suspect Kique was). You change, so your characters change along with you - it only makes sense since they are a part of who you are. I'm happy with the story and growth, and I am VERY attached to these characters - and I will keep following no matter what happens.

Honestly I'm kinda disappointed about people complaining about the "cheating". Jesus, that's life. No matter how much you hate it, people does that and life goes on. Even if these guys end up cheating on each others, that doesn't mean that kique is going to romanticize that behavior - it's just how the story goes on.

Ugh. Well, so much for a strong, platonic friendship between these two, I guess. At this point itâs so obvious that theyâre going to end up together, Rhovâs relationship with Jahla be damned. >.> And of course we all know that Jahla and Rome are going to get together too, no matter what Jahla said to him about âneeding to be just friendsâ; she obviously didnât mean it. I was just hoping it wouldnât come to this; hoping that even though itâs seemed obvious from day one, there would be a twist, there would be something unexpected⊠but nope. And yes, I know, thereâs still a lot more story to go, nothing is truly set in stone yet, nothing has been confirmed⊠but I still canât help feeling like I already know whatâs gonna happen, from here. Even if they do manage to refrain from actually cheating on one another, when Jahla and Rhov are finally reunited, sure, they might be happy at first, but theyâre gonna realize that they no longer love each other anymore, that instead, theyâve fallen in love with someone else (Rhov in love with Feaf and Jahla in love with Rome, respectively), and theyâll officially break up. And I have to say⊠Iâm not ready to see that happen. Especially since I really didnât feel any kind of romantic chemistry between Rhov and Feaf; I wanted them to be really good, close friends, almost like a brother/sister relationship (especially with how Rhov told Feaf that she reminded him of Zilas), not love interests⊠but I think itâs clear now that thatâs not the direction this is going. And as for Rome and Jahla, Iâll admit that while I *do* feel chemistry with them, I also feel like, well⊠Rome is just sorta a⊠âyes-manâ, for lack of a better word, to Jahla; that he is completely infatuated with her, and so, never contradicts her, always agrees with everything she says⊠and thatâs not a sign of a good relationship, in my opinion; I feel like a good couple, while they should obviously care about each other, and be supportive of one another, should challenge each other, as well, and thatâs one of the reasons I liked Rhov and Jahla together⊠I felt like they had that (even if they did get into a fight due to their clashing opinions about the Sky Gods, which is what lead to them being separated, now; I feel like Jahla should now be able to see where Rhov was coming from then, with what she experienced back at Origin Orion).
But anyway⊠obviously this is not my story, and Iâll still continue to read, regardless of where things go from here; Iâve been invested for far too long to just quit now, and I really do still enjoy the story, as a whole⊠but I still canât help but be disappointed. After all, Iâm one of the few who has always enjoyed Rhov and Jahla as a couple, and despite all signs pointing elsewhere, I was still holding out hope for their reunion, for them rekindling their love after all this time apart, to become a stronger, better couple than they were before, after what theyâve learned and experienced, as individuals⊠but Iâll be honest, I now no longer have that hope. I guess they never really were meant to be, after all, sad as it is to say.

When your introduction into a world is filled with lies, rape and murder the truth might not serve one to well so canât blame him for trying to protect his mate by lying. Also when your normal live span is as short as theres (alien live expanding stuff aside) I canât blame him for getting a bit edgy after such a long time (again, relatively speaking) apart. What Iâm saying, sometimes the choice makes you despite your best intentions.

In my heart I hope he doesn't mean "love", it bothers me so deeply that the thought of Jahla has fallen to the wayside. Jahla at least had the "we need to be friends talk", I hope Rhov thinks this through. I hope they all very much do before it becomes cheating, they /need/ to talk.

*whaps Rhov's nose with a rolled up newspaper* You can choose to uproot your own self, and others can choose to go with you, but you do not have a right to uproot others and ruin their relationships (even familial and platonic ones) just because you're lonely. You chose to leave, you chose to lie to the guild, you chose to look for your family and string this girl along. I'm disappointed in you.
