I feel like some times he gives the mirage that the moving parts actually work but they really don't. He just thinks the audience is too stupid to figure out they don't work. That was definitely the feeling I got from Tenet, for example.

Meaning , several key moving parts are happening in the course of a week , a day and one hour that key characters meet each other in the time of the events as they are happening in each place of the story . How Nolan made this work as a writer , i will never know but it proves that he is one of our most gifted Screenwriters and film makers of our time .
