Added 2022-05-11 18:16:17 +0000 UTCThis is my original cover done in 2004. It has some good points, with the glowy sparks, ruthless onslaught, and all the nonsense in the background. The composition is even more nonsense. I never could figure it out despite reading all sorts of tutorials on the subject. I was commissioned to do several covers but couldn't do it because of compositional hurdles (cities in perspective).
My style at the time (no line art) didn't really lend itself to figuring out joints so a lot of them are just organic painterly stuff. Hands and feet are very trunky, so if I were to revisit it, I'd probably just rework those.
