I decided to draw a world map in case I make my own fantasy setting. I wanted it to be a bit less on-the-nose than the WHFB one, but still not completely alien, so I swapped Africa with South America because it puts Lustria/Lizardmen a bit closer to the action. The rest of the world was perhaps explored in the distant past, but some mysterious magic storms isolated psudo-eurasia. The east is not well explored, being blocked by nasty undead swamps and mountains.
This map was drawn using blobs, then finer random squiggly lines (curves, circles, wiggles, fjords, peninsulas, island strings) with some attention to negative (sea) space. I placed some tectonic plates mountain ranges where they might make sense.
New tile sections are a bit rough. I've included an old one I did for "Astro Derelict", a sort of Space Crusade clone I started on years back. For that design I simply placed 4 enemy blips around floor grates, which is a simpler way to do it I suppose. Since they begin to move/drift they'll quickly jumble up. (perhaps I'll share more about that later... I kind of forgot and misplaced most of it though).
Tables could be used in a fantasy setting... narratively speaking they'd work, being natural gathering points.
