I've wanted to make my own monster collection game and universe for decades now, but haven't been able to produce more than a few designs that I find passable. I think I'd like to go for a look somewhere between Pokémon's efficiency and Digimon's wild playfulness and anthropomorphization. For specific game design reasons, the monsters are perhaps not caught/bred (or evolved ), but summoned or crafted from ingredients (relevant to shape and composition) generally found as drops in the wild. There are ways to create humanoid and weapon/cloth/equipment wielding monsters this way, something which doesn't quite make sense in a Pokémon system.
I've done a lot of exploration already so I figured I could start with iterating (reprocessing) some older work. This sheet here begun as evolution redesigns of Pokémons, but I was thinking I could at least try to repurpose and adopt the designs by changing some stuff. It's still kinda blatant I guess, but later I'll have some more original designs appearing, hopefully...
