Added 2021-09-28 20:10:37 +0000 UTCHere I wanted to draw a Female endoskeleton (different from T3's), but it turned out to be much trickier than expected! I started out with a photo of my Neca 2009 T-800 figure, which is kind of cheap and probably not very accurate. Rather than painting over the photo I put it on 50% multiply and redetailed using line art below, then I rescaled and used a little liquify โ a morph feature in Photoshop which is good for experimenting with figure and proportions. Unfortunately liquify doesn't work well with more precise mechanical designs as it tends to make parts wobbly so I couldn't use it as much as I would've liked. When working with multiple layers you also have to save the mesh then load it up on the second layer to replicate the changes. ClipStudioPaint can work with multiple layers but its transformation tool is not as good (organic) as liquify.
Eventually I ended up with something which kind of looked okay, but once I redlined a woman over the skeleton I quickly noticed that it wouldn't fit well inside a person and had to make a lot of adjustments to arm and leg spacing, hip bone, widths, etc. The hydraulics connecting to the hip is where Kyle stuffs the explosives if I recall correctly... haven't since that movie in a long, long time.
She's still very bulky looking, so it's nothing that would work for say Cameron (SCC) which is what got me going. Cameron is a T-900 or TOK-715 but I couldn't find any pictures of her actual endoskeleton. I think it might be a nimble T-800 variant and not one of those fully armour plated designs which show up in some image searches.
