2025-07-16 16:26:55 +0000 UTCFrom a 'human' perspective we DO have free will but maybe in God's view we are nothing more than grains of sand following a path they can determine at a glance and will continue to do so unless something or someone beyond 'Them' throw in something and the pattern they had foreseen becomes chaotic and indeterminate. Maybe in the grand scheme of things our free will doesn't matter but that 'place' is beyond our reach and will probably forever will be. In the end even if we are 'ants on an anthill' following the same 'route' right here right now is all we have and right here right now for us and those that matter to us THAT is more important than anything else. Even if someone or something perhaps thinks or is in control of our fate and destiny as long as we believe we have free will our decisions matter.

We have a choice in all things, whether the choices are extremely difficult, the choice is our own. I was addicted to alcohol, but I made the choice to quit cold turkey. I suffered for weeks, but eventually I prevailed, and even now when I see alcoholic drinks I want them, but I make a choice not to drink.
