Broken Driver Nina

Goddam Microsoft fucked up the driver for my drawing software with their last security update, so everything is way harder to draw than it needs to be.  I got, like, 3 years of such ease with this software, I guess I should just be happy I had a good run.  God only knows if they'll ever fix the issue since Microsoft gives no fucks about users who aren't just vanilla, even on their Surface tablet THAT TOUTS THE STYLUS AS A HUGE SELLING POINT.

Here's the link I think you were talking about. I shared it on my Tumblr page <a href="http://man1nblack.tumblr.com/post/173066165373/if-the-most-recent-windows-update-just-screwed" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">http://man1nblack.tumblr.com/post/173066165373/if-the-most-recent-windows-update-just-screwed</a>

Microsoft actually gives a tiny, tiny fraction of a shit about their first-party stuff. The more tickets they get, the faster they'll fix a given thing, even if they never talk to you.

Doh - hit return. Anyway, I feel the pain that is M$. As always your art surpasses the limitations of the medium and is always well done.

I don't draw - well outside of drafting, schematics and flow charts - I just happen to have half a dozen artists in the immediate family so guess who gets called and whined at when there are software/hardware/PIBAC issues?

I love how you put such personality in your faces, even in a quick sketch like this. And I feel for you about the update, I have heard so very many horror stories about that, I got lucky, haven't noticed any problems yet, although it took nearly 100 tries before the update worked.

I feel somebody should comment on the art. In spite of your driver troubles, Nina still looks good. Adorable as ever. In the face of difficulty, your perseverance pays off.

There's a workaround going around Tumblr that involves going into your drawing software settings to disable Windows Ink, but I don't have a direct link. Maybe you can search for it?

I've seen the same complaint from others. Apparently a specific patch can be uninstalled to get it working again, but preventing automatic reinstalling of it is tricky.
