I have paused my creator page

Heyo everybody, it's me again. This post is gonna be about what the title says, obviously. Keep up.

No, but really, I don't know how many of you listen to the podcast I do with my friends but a few weeks ago I put forward that if the current review wasn't finished by the end of May I would pause my creator page until it's done, and since it's incredibly obvious that I won't be able to finish it before the end of the month I'm going through with that promise now so that it's not looming over my head.

So, I figure this is as good a time as any to update all of you on the status of the next project, so let's get right into that.

First things first: for anyone unaware, I do about 99% of the writing for my scripts on my laptop, and my laptop's LCD was recently mysteriously shattered in a motel room while I was out looking for potential places to rent for the next year. I do pretty much all of my writing from my laptop for a few different reasons, the two biggest ones being that I don't particularly like typing on a mechanical keyboard for long stretches of time (I know burn the heretic yadda yadda) because it's uncomfortable for my fingers and that I have a LOT of trouble focusing on writing when I'm using my desktop. I'm going to continue trying to write the script while my laptop is in the shop, but I can pretty much guarantee that I'll be working slower for the next week while it gets fixed.

And yeah, that does mean that the script is still unfinished, which is uh... Obviously not great news hahaha. I think this script is probably the most "different" stylistically of all of my reviews, I didn't set out to do this when I started writing it but I think I'm really starting to develop a distinct writing style, which is both exciting and kind of worrying. On the one hand, this script feels much more distinctly "me" than any of the other reviews I've written to this point, but on the other it might be a dumpster fire of a script that everyone will be upset they waited 4 1/2 months for. Very exciting times.

That being said, I am steadily making a fair amount of progress and seem to have (finally) gotten over the writer's block that's been fucking me up over the past few months or so, and personally I have to say I'm really pleased with everything in it, so hopefully that's exciting to you folks. Editing shouldn't take nearly as long for this video as the previous review since most of what I'm talking about is easy to find relevant footage for and I don't have to theorize about overly complex metaphors about the Bible or whatever, so if I just go full on crunch mode when I get to the editing phase it's POSSIBLE that the video could come out in the first week or two of June. I really hope it does, because I feel disappointed in myself for not having it finished by now.

So yeah, that's the rub. I'm happy to answer any questions y'all have about anything (other than what I'm reviewing because I'm an idiot and still want that to be a surprise).

After this video is done I'm going to take a long hard look at the way I handle my upload schedule, because as much as I love being given the time I need to make the videos up to my standards, those standards keep rising and I just can't reasonably keep up.
