I think by the end of part 1, it became very apparent to JYP and staff that Tomoya was going to be the leader. It’s obvious that part 2 is clearly centered around Tomoya, it almost feels like they are trying to find the correct arrangement of members that will work with him. This caused them throughout part 2 to place the weakest members with him in the group challenges to see if he could do with them what he did with So Geon and Seita. Part 2 feels very much like a leadership test for Tomoya and a compatibility test with Tomoya for the others.
