Okay, so it's a Dutch thing I see. I actually made my family eat the licorice and they all hated me for it haha. We were also starving for 10 hours when we were on the trip to the Olympics, and all we had was the licorice in the car(because I wanted to film a reaction making people eat it there.). So we took one each then instantly spat it out. I still have some in my house but I'm afraid.

The brown kind is popular in Sweden (from what I understand) but here as well. Apparently in other countries no one likes it. To be honest, even if you’re used to it it’s borderline. Let’s say it’s an acquired taste. What it said on the bag was “pocket money” (zakgeld, here used as a commercial product name) and “sweet and soft” (zacht en zoet). As for chocolate, in The Netherlands for it to be allowed to be called chocolate it has to have at least 25% cacao for milk chocolate and 35% for dark (or pure as we call it) chocolate. If not they have to write cacaofantasie (cacao fantasy) on it. That’s why they tend to go for chocolate according to Dutch law. Stroopwafels (syrup waffles) are two thin layers of dough backed into a waffle shape with caramel syrup (honey being a most well-known variety) in the middle. To really appreciate it you need regular size (about a hand palm or bigger) and preferably slight warmed up. But of course I won’t so now to a mini stroopwafel. They go stale quickly in the open (few hours mostly). You need a sealed box, cookie jar or something like that. Just before I found this video in my Patreon app I finished a chocolate bar. We do like our chocolate over here. Awesome video, especially the sal ammoniac licorice part :-)
