This is AWESOME! This is KCon times 10 lol... it would totally be on my to do list when I finally visit Korea. BTS tickets were hella expensive, and its super hard to get them at base price instead of resale price (lots of ticketing websites buy the out first and mark up the prices) mine was 3 times the actual prices after all the fees :( but still worth it :)) and I totally love seeing you fanboying :))

Thanks! I will just leave the title then haha. The US ticket price is fuxxed up tho...

Hi David! Thanks for bringing us along - the electicity of the experience really came through! Good luck getting the BTS tickets - that would be amazing! Maybe you know this - in the US, most of the tickets were $250 - $400 and were even selling for up to over $5,000! And I think the title you already have for the video works just fine - I think that saying it's your first k-pop concert will make people interested than anything about chickens!

Im gonna do that too! Maybe thinking of ticketing today for a small performance their having soon at MGA 2018. Wish me luck!

Yeah. At the 200 bucks is quite a lot of money. And i do agree that solo artists performing are more enjoyable music wise. Id really like to hear baek jiyoungs live too ㅠ. But yeah the crowd of kpop concerts are just different and so entertaining haha

Poor and delicious lol

I also regret not seeing BTS when they came to (near) Toronto, but hopefully they'll come back soon and I'll be fast enough on that "order" button.

Agree with a lot of what you said. I went to the 2018 Korea Times Music Festival at the Hollywod Bowl. They had about a dozen different acts. In general the Idol groups were among my least favorite I was glad I saw Red Velvet,EXID, BtoB and NCT-127, but singing to backing musicai & vocal tracks is not my ideal Although I understand why it is. I enjoyed the mostly solo acts more. Mostly because all but one played with acccompaning musicians. I enjoyed Baek Ji-young the most. Since the performers streched through a pretty wide age and style range; the crowd was pretty diverse; at least age wise.Lol! There were families, some with 3 generations who bought pinics,etc... So it was fun to watch the crowd too! The only thing I would have wanted for a better experience is for Hong Jin-young to perform since no one really sang Trot. Don't think I would go again since it cost me ~$200. Half of that was flying from SFO to LAX and back (In one day). I got a good seat.

Erwin: Nice Dad-move! Thought very briefly about going to BTS but I no longer have enough tolerant for large screaming crowds. I'm 59 and I've been to ~250 arena/studium concerts. I did go to see Hyokoh and DPR live at a 1400 person event-hall over the last couple of weeks.

What you say about kpop concerts is right, there is a feeling of being together that I only experienced with Babymetal earlier this year and neo-pagan folk bands (a genre you may not be familiar with :-) ) at fantasy fairs.

Can I say I saw BTS with my daughter last Saturday in Amsterdam and we had VIP tickets? Got there 1AM, were placed in the VIP queue around 8:30 and got inside 4PM. For. The. Artists. Soundcheck. We were so close. During the day the waiting line stretched for a kilometer. The line for merchandise must have been at least 300 meters when I saw it. BTS is amazing. They earned a 50 year old fan. Not an ARMY because I can’t scream that loud and high. Fun fact: the translator during the concert was a Korean guy who goes to the same church as my Korean colleague. I now have only 3 degrees of separation to BTS. Fun fact 2: during the night fans stampeded into the square in front of the concert hall (you’re weren’t allowed on it at night) twice. Riot police was called in. They didn’t have to do anything, the sight of them was enough to calm the fans down.

Gosh, all those poor delicious chickens...
