Maybe the BP review was blocked? I saw on other reactor channels that they were having problems with this.

Hey, not about the aftershow, but Idk where else to comment that might be seen: I got a notification for the BP "The Album" review but it looks to have been taken down or something? Is it being reuploaded? Can it maybe just be posted for patrons if it was an issue of getting hate on YT(I saw the comments were also turned off). I'm really interested in hearing what you guys thought of the album and enjoyed Danny's other albums thoughts.

An art piece that is controversial that had a lot of people crying for censorship was a piece called Piss Christ. The artist photographed a crucifix inside his own urine. It was to show the way sacred symbols have lost their sacredness in modern society. Christians were pissed and called for the piece to be taken down. However the shock was purposefully done and directly relates to the message. Controversy was the point. This blackpink music video doesn’t really do that, if it did, you would have a point. (In fact a more interesting portrayal would have been Jennie as an actual doctor. This relates the the themes of the girls being powerful bosses and weakly human.) Also the piece Piss Christ doesn’t invite hate on Christians or Christ himself, people were just mad because of their feelings. The bp situation is different. These nurses are speaking up about the way media/pop culture portrays them causes real negative effects on their lives. Porn and media portrayals create fantasies which people want to act upon. Therefore they have a right to open this discussion. Hope the differences are clearly shown with this example.

Nobody has a problem with her being sexy, this is why nobody cares about ice cream a way sexier mv. It’s the connection of the profession to a sexy concept. This profession is already widely sexualized in porn and media. These things cause real sexual assault because people associate sex with a profession in their brains. I think they have a right to speak up if they feel it’s an issue. It’s nothing to cancel bp over, but people can share their perspective.

About the nurse outfit... I teach art. I agree that art shouldn’t be censored, however, the usage of the nurse and patient for discussing being lovesick is a bit on the nose. I wouldn’t call it creative license making an artistic expression (no hate, love blackpink). Removing/changing this particular scene doesn’t sacrifice the artistic concept behind the MV or impact the portrayal of the concept as a whole. I also have a profession that is sexualized in porn and to be honest that shit Pisses me off. Men in bars say shit all the time, I’ve also been sexually assaulted on the job. The nurses have a right to speak about how the portrayal of them in pop culture causes real damage. It’s nothing to cancel bp over, but to say they are censoring art by calling out this 5 seconds is a bit of a stretch.

Sup guys!

Mocking any marginalized group within your own society for protesting, while speaking from a position of privilege... not a great look. Regardless of whether you agree or not. My 2 cents

Welcome tiger to the duck pond! It was great to see photos of Teddy and the park and the video of him today 🥰 What a lovely area for Durong to walk and sniff around. But umm...David, do you have 2 dogs??? More dog content please! Also, a trot listening party would be rad!

Penny for your thoughts: The situation over Jennie wearing this outfit is nitpicking. I’m from the States and this is not considered sluty... I mean if she was showing cleavage and acting sluty that would be another story. Plus nurses don’t even wear these type of outfit anymore, so how can you get offended over something you don’t even wear. ( If it’s just the idea of this outfit being demeaning because it show how nurses use to wear skirts then let all together stop wearing what use to be) Plus was she even a nurse looked like a therapist to me... And why in the world would they bring sexual assault in the work place to the conversation?! (Adding fire to the fire to make it spread) Don’t get me wrong I’m thinking in American standards.... (Halloween we have all type of outfit that can be made “sexy” in any profession)

Ahh I won't be able to join to aftershow today, so I'll leave a few thoughts here: 1. I don't think Skusta's DEYM was intentionally meant to sound that much like DDAENG. It has a very similar beat/flow but I wouldn't say its identical. I agree there's a lot of songs out there with a similar beat. Kinda like BTS' "Ma City" and Kendrick Lamar's "i" which sound incredibly similar, but if you listen really closely it's not the same, identical beat. 2. The Bad Boy one though...that is DEFINITELY the same instrumental LOL wtf. I wouldn't even call it a "sample" because Skusta or his producer would have included that in the credits in the FIRST place, which they didn't. So that is sus. 3. I need more of David and Danny speaking Filipino lol. Ganda naman (nice job on your pronunciation)!!!
