2019-12-06 22:24:41 +0000 UTCOn the other had there is a tattoo artist I know that does incredible 3D tattoos where the art work is phenomenal. Looking at it you would swear is not a flat tattoo. This artist is incredibly talented and yet as beautiful as it is, his work is condemned by conservative societies. So unless the work is obscene or contains picture of private body parts like the one i described earlier, this business about censoring it just because it's a tattoo, should really be stopped.

2019-12-06 22:23:20 +0000 UTCIt's 100% because of the tattoo. In an ultra conservative society, tattoos's are looked upon as the work of the devil. That's not my opinion nor is it the opinion of most young people today and until young people start taking over the jobs of older people in the society, that's not likely to change any time soon. Having said that, I am not in favor of extremism either. For example, people who tattoo their entire bodies or focus on tattooing private parts. I could show u a picture of someone I know who has a very detailed tattoo of a flying dragon tattooed on his private parts with the head and neck of the dragon on his penis and the body and spreading wings of the dragon across his testicles. The art work is incredible but the amount of pain he had to endure is unimaginable. Why would someone even do that ?

In New Zealand traditional tattooing was seen as sacred so even in modern times theres really no stigma. I see a person with tattoos as someone who is passionate about something and willing to share a story of their lives with the world. I'm heading to japan and korea for a holiday next year and I had thought it would be an interesting experiment to show off my ink a little to see the different reactions considering japan just had the world cup and when I head over to japan it wont be long until the Olympics

2019-12-06 21:20:31 +0000 UTCI think it was 100% because of JK's tattoo. I'm Asian American and I don't like tattoos either but not because I associate them with criminals or a negative lifestyle. I just think that they are so ubiquitous now that a person would actually be more "unique" if they didn't have a tattoo. I got a tattoo when I was 21 but it's small and in a place where no one can see it and I don't regret it but I think it's unnecessary.

I have to admit that first part about the history of tattoos in Korea was kind of scary 😳 I have a tattoo that I got a few years ago..waaaaay into my adulthood guys. Even tho tattoos are not taboo in the US they can still be frowned upon in work environments like schools and offices. I purposely placed mine on my forearm right below my elbow so it can be easily hidden when I want but I can also see it when I want. I really love it.
