No more podcasts?
Added 2020-03-25 08:02:35 +0000 UTCHey everyone, Danny here.
I'm considering changing the podcasts to a KPOP only radio-styled program. Think Zane Lowe, but KPOP only. I play songs and have some commentary here and there.
If I am to do this I will likely retire the Podcast series for Patreon.
As you know I have been doing radio for the past half year or so now, and I really enjoy this format and also feel like I'm pretty good at picking songs lol.
Let me know what you think, and if you guys know any streaming websites that would possibly allow for this type of content to be live-streamed, put them down in the comments below. My biggest worry is that we will face some sort of copyright issues (especially for the Youtube membership people)
Thank you and take care everyone!

2020-03-29 11:23:42 +0000 UTCTo be honest I’m kinda subscribed for podcast only. I was about to ask if you consider to create podcasts episodes more often hah But anyway I will support any of your decisions .

2020-03-28 18:40:03 +0000 UTCI really like your podcasts and your honesty in them. The backgrounds about Kpop are interesting but news about Korea and your life in this society is much more interesting. It's fascinating to get in insight into other cultures like that. If it's about the corridors in your house or political information I really enjoy listening to it as you tell it in your own style. So I would second Olympia zimms aka OZ - please do what you want to do and if your listeners are lucky you might do both formats :)

2020-03-26 13:09:32 +0000 UTCI’m going to vote for podcasts but let me tell you why. I agree totally that you really do offer more than you realize with your current format. I don’t know a thing about live KPop radio streaming however I do listen to VLive radio. Everyone is good at what they do and you would fit in perfectly.. it reminds me of public radio here in the US. You are already in the game if you do the research. I know for myself I didn’t just walk in an hour before my shift and pull 4hrs of music. There is so much prep but you already do that so.you have the ability to be more conversational than “newsy”. I love what you do and you’ve got the chops for radio,. Whatever you do it’s going to be forward and never straight...follow your heart my man, it beats for a reason. Can you do both?!

2020-03-26 06:50:12 +0000 UTCHonestly I'm more interested in your thoughts than I am interested in K-pop. But of course, in the end do what you want to do and are more comfortable with. I'm sure it will be great as long as you are passionate about it

2020-03-25 23:14:10 +0000 UTCI really enjoy the podcast. I appreciate your perspective on the world, Korean news and K-pop. A lot of content you put out is centered around K-pop this feels like a place that just for you and allows you to air your thoughts. I find myself talking back to you while stuck in traffic or reading up on something you talked about.

2020-03-25 23:11:14 +0000 UTCFrom my perspective, if you think about changing you should do it, at least try, and if doesn't work the way you wanted then come back. But trying something new its always exciting and it will inspire you to develop new content. Give it a try and see what's next :D

2020-03-25 22:46:17 +0000 UTCI, too, enjoy the podcasts. I think they make the user feel much more personally connect to you, the guest, and thus the content, compared to audio only. Just a thought!

2020-03-25 21:06:47 +0000 UTCI don’t know about Zane Lowe but if you mean in terms similar to your radio show where you have some discussion maybe about the song or the artist you’re about to play followed up by the music maybe with duck guests I think that would be fun.

2020-03-25 17:22:54 +0000 UTCAnnalise makes a good point about doing what you want to do. We're ultimately here for a genuine connection with you, so probably doing the thing which inspires you most will create the most effective connection.

2020-03-25 16:23:45 +0000 UTCI personally prefer the podcast but I voted for radio because I want to know how you do things in the radio since you have more than a year working on one. So something that you enjoy so much like the radio would be cool and different for the peatron!

2020-03-25 15:32:31 +0000 UTCI really love your podcasts, and extremely enjoy your songs that you chose. It's a hard decision. It would be impossible to make a 1-hour-long radio talk show? With a corner about news and opinions, and music recs as well? I need both, can't choose. Sorry. :( But at the end of the day, it's totally up to you! Oh, by the way, is there any way to replay your naver now radio show? I always miss it because it's dawn in my county at that time.

2020-03-25 13:10:26 +0000 UTCI reeeally prefer the podcast over a K-POP radio show but if you decide to choose the latter I’ll try to be less stubborn and listen to it first before making any changes. I literally joined Patreon for the podcast tho and I completely agree with Steve Pambello above.

2020-03-25 11:08:44 +0000 UTCI think you should do what you want to, because doing the thing you want to do will also provide the best content! I’m confident I’ll enjoy whatever you decide, I just like to have something to listen to at my boring job and whether that’s a podcast or a radio show doesn’t matter to me :)

2020-03-25 10:11:29 +0000 UTCI will be incorporating some of the fireside chatness in the radio show

2020-03-25 09:13:36 +0000 UTCDefinitely! Call ins are my favorite parts of a radio show

2020-03-25 09:13:08 +0000 UTCI enjoyed Danny's fireside chats on the podcast and fear that will be lost on kpop radio. Just my 2 cents.

2020-03-25 08:16:59 +0000 UTCThis is such a difficult decision - Zane Lowe’s show of Beats 1 was one of My fave shows when I had Apple Music. We all know you can provide content and sound great doing it! (Can you please have a duck guest star on your show every now and then too?) I wanna be first haha :))
