I am confused as why DKDK covering about what was going on is* the problem? I still blame the click bait news posts online. Not DKDK or some random twitter account. They were just talking about what they read. Real talk though I hope Mr. Kim Reul is okay. His way of saying something about the Hanbok at a different time. Got conflated to Myart putting the hanbok up for auction.

2021-04-27 19:34:45 +0000 UTCBora gets regularly harassed by Jimin akgaes, so I think she's particularly sensitive about this issue :/ I can't comment on the quality of her translation for this particular issue, but for some reason Jimin solos are really dedicated to sending her hate and using her as a punchbag from time to time over the dumbest shit. (It's actually kind of like you guys getting hate from a bunch of dedicated haters tbh)

I also agree with Danny that Ilhoon got ripped off. As weed is becoming more decriminalized or legal in more and more parts of the US, I’m curious if you think something similar will ever happen in South Korea.

Like for example there was never any mistranslation because the article was in freaking english already. And you guys have a big platform, so I would appreciate if you don't name fanaccounts in your DK News because this will only lead to further bullying / online hate. Especially when your reporting is only one-sided (like in this case only what some K-Army reported)

It's best to stay out of it if you only have one part of the story and better not to name people who already get harassed online.

It seemed like people said different things about the same people. Adult fans always say that it's the younger ones who tend to go off the deep end but I wonder if even the older ones get overly obsessive?

I think the less you rely on fandoms as a source and the more you provide a service for those same fans the better. Translating, contextualizing stories, offering perspectives, etc. it’s what sets you apart from reaction channels.
