MW - Trainers, Pokemon, and Names

I want to apologize profusely for not posting anything last week.  I wish I had a better excuse than being in a weird head space where I wasn't really paying attention to what day of the week it was and what I needed to do.  Some of you may understand that and be willing to forgive me, but I still feel it's important for me to apologize.  You folks are paying for this; I should be doing better.

That said, it is Thursday, which I've arbitrarily decided is my Moonlight Wanderers day.  If you're new here or forgot, this is a Nuzlocke comic based on Pokemon Moon that I'm hoping to start a little later this year and have running alongside Rain.

Today, we have three images of characters you might be familiar with if you've played the game the comic is based on.  If not, the boy in the orange shorts is Hau (with his Litten on his shoulder).  The boy in the hood, folding his arms is Gladion (alongside his Type:Null).  And the girl in the white dress is Lillie (getting her hat stolen away by the little Cosmog).  

As I've said in the past, characters from the game will appear in the comic.  There may be some differences between how they act and present themselves in my story versus how their original appearances are, as well as potentially very different directions for their character development.  There are even small differences in each of their designs to make them a bit more my own.

Apart from the player character in the game, these three are more or less who I interpreted as the other main characters in the story, so I wanted to make sure they got the proper reveal treatment.  Even though their roles in my story may be different, they'll all still be relatively prominent characters and spend a lot of time interacting with protagonist, Maya.

(There will be some original characters too, but more on that another day.)

I want to draw special attention to the Pokemon here as well.  Part of the rules of a Nuzlocke, is that you must name all your Pokemon for greater emotional attachment.  So needless to say, all of Maya's Pokemon will have names.  Incidentally, Lillie's Cosmog and Gladion's Type:Null, canonically have names too in their original stories (Nebby and Null, respectively).  But Hau and pretty much every other NPC trainer throughout the Pokemon series tend not to name their Pokemon.  This always kinda bothered me.

So, in addition to all of Maya's Pokemon having names, so will everyone else's.  Nebby and Null can keep their names, but any other Pokemon that Gladion (or Lillie?) may acquire will have names as well (usually following a name scheme befitting of the character).  Likewise, Hau's Litten is named Fire Cat (which will follow a running theme of him picking simple, obvious, or even lazy names for his Pokemon; perfect for his laid back personality).  This will extend to any other trainers and even bad guys who appear throughout the story as well.  It's perhaps an unnecessary touch, but it's something I've been having a lot of fun with, actually.
