Random Mons 2

Another random assortment of Pokemon with upcoming Nuzlocke comic, Moonlight Wanderers in mind.  This week, we have Meloetta, Sandygast, Bunnelby, Vaporeon, Brionne, and a female Nidoran.

If I may, I'm particularly happy with how Brionne came out.  I've drawn one before back when it was first announced, and I think I've improved.  Getting the hang of drawing cute, little mermaid-seals, I guess. XD

Admittedly, Meloetta and Vaporeon are mostly here due to suggestions received last week.  At this time, I don't know if they'll actually show in the comic.  Well, Vaporeon might not be too hard to squeeze in somewhere, but a mythical Pokemon like Meloetta might be hard to make work.  Ideally, I'd LOVE to have at least a cameo of every single Pokemon ever somewhere in the story (whether as the actual creature, or on a shirt someone's wearing, or as a child's plushie, etc), but that may be as ambitious a goal as saying I want to include every single gender and sexuality in Rain.  There's... kind of a lot.  XD

So, while I can't PROMISE everything, we'll certainly see what happens.

The other four DO appear in the comic though.  "But Jocelyn", the Pokemaniacs call out.  "I thought this comic was to be based on Moon version.  Neither Bunnelby nor Nidoran appear in that one."  They won't be anything Maya uses or anything, but that doesn't mean they can't show up and be at least mildly relevant in some way.  Expect me to bend the rules once in a while.  Catches, victories, losses and whatnot will stick tightly to my Nuzlocke playthrough, but I plan to express a lot of freedom with the story development and make it my own, rather than just recite the game's story verbatim.  Perhaps one of these is used by a unique, original trainer who didn't appear in the game?  :O

Also, I hope my focus on Moonlight Wanderers hasn't been a problem or annoying for anyone.  It's just exciting for me to finally be able to talk about this.  Though I think I'd like to keep Thursday posts focused on this, I don't want to just oversaturate my Patreon with only Pokemon.  So, I'm hoping to talk more about Rain and other projects as we go (with the occasional fanart thrown in for good measure).  ^_^
