New logo: focus group time!

Progress on our new website is proceeding apace, and what you see alongside this post, as previously threatened, is the current draft of our new logo. Or rather, several drafts. What do you think?
We've been through several possible designs, and this "diagonal" is comfortably the one that we like the best. We wanted something that was cleaner and more contemporary than our current look, and I think we've got it.
What remains (unless you all really hate this look) is the colour scheme. We've taken our current palette (i.e. purple) as a starting point for most of these -- is that the right approach? Do any of these "feel" particularly like SH to you? Or, perhaps more importantly, do any of them cause you to recoil in horror? (And either way -- why?)
We'd be particularly grateful for any thoughts from any of you who may be colour blind or have other vision issues, as to which (if any) of these works.
And, of course, if you have any questions, just ask!

Very late to the game. I like #1 and #2, as the gradations are pleasing, and they center on the current Purple (which, I like).

2016-05-11 00:54:14 +0000 UTCIf it's just a matter of picking one of the choices, I vote for #1, because purple is the strangest color. But really, I'm not crazy about any of them because there's too much range in the color gradation. It makes most of them look too multicolored, and in this respect, I also prefer #1 because at least it only manifests two colors. What I'd really like is for the range of #1 to be more limited. For example, maybe for it to begin with the purple we see in the second 'O', so the gradient seems more monochromatic. I think this would also help the slant be even more suggestive of a planetary horizon. Right now, the extremity of the color change distracts a bit from that.
