Animation Exclusives Release Timer
Added 2017-12-14 05:23:39 +0000 UTCYep guys, I want to hear your opinion about that
My thougts are - as an artist I want to share all my things to everyone (#just_artist_things xD) BUT it is not just me who should decide if to post it to 'open source' or not, since I am making this stuff especially for you Animation Lovers ^^
So, what do you think - should I release my exclusive animations outside of the Patreon and if you dont mind about it - what timer you prefer me to use? Please vote/write your opinion please!

TL:DR; Watermark and wait time are good ideas. Also consider value of patron tiers. A watermark is a great idea @KevinBacon, and so is waiting awhile @Artomis. One more consideration might be to assess the value of the Patreon tiers though. I want to support you, Eipril, as a creator and in return I'd get access to certain exclusive content like WIP, hi-res, etc. With websites like e621 (coincidentally where I first found your work) caching to their database almost all non-paid furry content, it would subtract from the value of supporting at the $3 tier. On the flip-side, there is a great value in putting your hi-res works out to the public after some time. I think it would be a good marketing strategy to get your work noticed more than it already is. Since the only value the $5 tier has over the $3 is WIP and exclusives, and the free low-res versions of your animations can already be found on e621, there would be little value left in the $3 tier. Those patrons would either move to the lower tier, stop supporting, or move to the higher tier. Since 92% of your patrons are already in the $5 tier, it's clear that patrons support you and value the exclusives and WIP posts you make.

2017-12-14 22:55:55 +0000 UTCI do like the idea, I jist think that the non-direct supporters should have to wait a while, maybe even you posting just the thumbnail and your patreon link when the animation is first released to draw more here to help support and see the amazing works first hand without the wait, but if they cant, they still at least can see a watermarked low res version after a while

2017-12-14 13:07:35 +0000 UTCI have been using my "stamp-signature" in my old animations and yeeeeeah - people said that signature is almost unreadable, so I have made a new one (from link above). I use that new signature for all my new works, but since my old animation have been already everywhere there is no point to upgdaring old ones

2017-12-14 12:17:56 +0000 UTCDefinitely add a watermark! You also might want to rework it to make sure it's readable at lower resolutions -- I stumbled across a bunch of your videos but couldn't read it.
2017-12-14 12:06:58 +0000 UTCsame. i found an animation on twitter. it was hard to read the signature, but i eventually figured it out.

2017-12-14 09:13:50 +0000 UTCyeah, great idea.
2017-12-14 07:00:36 +0000 UTCIf you release it, you should definitely add a clear water mark so that ppl can find you. I also saw some artists who released lower quality versions (720p vs 1080), previews/trailers, or partially cut versions their stuff to the public to encourage people find the source.

2017-12-14 06:56:06 +0000 UTCI thought Devieantart do not accept such kind of stuff. So FA i think. With low resolution. HDs will be avaliable only for Patreon still ^^
