What I Learned
- Wait for your paint to dry ALL the way before starting your next coat. No. Really. Wait.
- Wet palettes are magic.
- Thin coats are always your friend, so don't load up the brush.
- Washes are magic, but they also make everything look dirty. Go back with the base color for clean up/highlights.
- If you can't blend, make it an artistic seam. *See bottom of skirt thing haha*
- Keep your paint water FAR AWAY from your drinking water. Or use clear cups. Or something haha
Yuan-Ti will be painted next :)
I was way more ambitious with this one than the Loxodon. So there were a lot more mistakes haha But if you don't try to paint above your skill level, you won't get any better.
Those were all the paints I used, and the magical wet palette in the back.
Working on the aarakocra sculpt currently.
