*Update with decision* Kickstarter Insider! Similar models opinion?
Added 2019-06-30 00:10:13 +0000 UTCUPDATE 6/30/19
I will be reusing assets. They will not be identical however. This will allow me to allocate my time better to creating new, unique models. Plus, with a Kickstarter with 50 models I doubt it is going to hurt the variety haha
The Tressym and the Cat casual poses are the most similar it will get. *Shown below*
Changes includes:
- Wings (obviously haha)
- Older, more wise face, also more wide
- Longer ears
- Larger tail
- Larger paws
- More detailed fur/longer fur
- Overall larger model by a millimeter or two
- Slightly different head tilt
- Fur grouping down the spine (not shown below since it is the back of the model)
I kept the pose for this purely because I loved how regal it would make the Tressym look. The action pose will obviously be different. I understand if you want something brand new each time. I think this is the best happy medium, and I'm happy with this decision. Thanks for all your feedback!

I have a handful of models that have the same core animal.
For example, I have a cat and a tressym. A tressym is essentially a cat with wings.
It seems sort of silly to sculpt another cat when I already made one. How do you feel about me taking the the cats and adding wings to make it a tressym?

I feel that both of these poses lend well to expressive wings to give the model a new look.
This applies to the unicorn and pegasus as well. Remove horn and add wings sort of deal.
I wanted to ask you guys because I pretty much never reuse models.

I know very little, but I know enough to know that I do not know anything about the design of 3D figurines π (it's confucius or me). Thank you very much for the technical details. In addition, a small model is sometimes difficult to print because the details become tiny. I realized it with the pixies of IGG (around a purse), I am not competent enough to print them in FDM at the planned scale.
