- Dev -
After setting the schedule and having the champion adhere to it, the past few weeks have been relatively monotonous. Zenith quickly adapted to the routine, eagerly anticipating her physical training. She would wake up at a specific time, use her first hours of the day for personal care and nourishment, and then dedicate the rest of the day to honing her body and mind before retiring for the night.
I'd have her train for longer periods each day, up to four hours. Fortunately, Zenith seemed to enjoy this even more, and despite her age, her stamina was improving gradually. Not as fast as her power level, however.
Her current maximum power level sits comfortably at around 320,000 units, more than double her initial capacity. Whether this is a Saiyan trait or her innate talent, it's a staggering leap in power and a sight to behold.
However, this means that none of the simulated warriors are able to push her further. Even swarming her with several Hera Soldiers can't increase her strength anymore. She would almost always destroy them instantly and claim she was bored. I suppose it's time we left the planet soon.
Although her growth has been tremendous, what I found truly astonishing was her ability to replicate what she observed with near-perfect precision. In her second training session, she was already mirroring the simulated Hera Soldier's movements and using them to her advantage, even modifying some to better suit her size.
She's had some difficulties in actually mastering the techniques, but that can be attributed to a lack of proper teaching. I'm confident that after her training under the Yardratians and learning proper ki control and martial arts, Zenith's growth will soar.
I keep an eye out for Zenith on one of the monitors, watching her standing right outside Monsoon, looking up at the sky. While it has never distracted her during her training, her interest in this so-called 'Orange Man' is still present in her mind ever since she supposedly sensed him the first time.
In her spare time, she would leave the spacecraft and stand outside in the snow, gazing in the general direction of that person. This behavior would often continue for extended periods, sometimes lasting for hours until it was time for dinner or to retire for the night. Observing this behavior has been quite unusual.
She seemed conflicted when asked if she wanted to see the man. Or, more accurately, she was anxious. It was clear that despite her high interest in him, her supposed nightmare about him made her frightened to meet him.
I have my suspicions about this person, and if they're true, then there's a reason Zenith was able to see him in her dreams and sense him galaxies away. After all, his geneticswere the primary sample I used to create her—the most accomplished Saiyan in existence and the catalyst of this cluster.
I'm not quite sure if this is the case, but perhaps Zenith's Metanovian essence is resonating with his DNA, forming a link between them, which made the champion's senses sensitive to his energy specifically. I wasn't aware that something like this was even possible. After all, I've yet to teach her how to sense ki in the first place.
But that's merely a hypothesis. It'll be fascinating to see how Zenith interacts with him when the time comes.
After countless millennia of attempting to create the ultimate champion, facing failure after failure, I finally succeeded, only to discover that she was born in the same era as he was alive. Is it a stroke of fate or sheer luck? Whatever it is, I am determined to make the most of this opportunity.
Having Zenith meet him and learn from him would be incredibly fruitful. Even more so than her training with the Yardratians. No one would be better off training a Saiyan than an even older, more experienced Saiyan.
But until I locate him, she'll have to train on her own or with the Yardratians. I don't see this… quirk of hers negatively affecting her. She hasn't been disobedient nor let such a thing distract her from her training, so I shall let her do as she pleases.
Continuing to monitor the champion, she suddenly exhales and walks away, but not back to the ship. Instead, she takes a stroll around Monsoon, curiously exploring the area but obeying me and not going too far. How odd. This is the first time I've seen her do this. Has she perhaps gotten bored?
The surveillance bot follows the champion around, showing her observing the nearby insects and critters, crouching next to one. Zenith tilts her head at a purple, lizard-like creature the size of her hand and blinks before snatching it with her hand and bringing it closer to her to observe it in detail.
I watch this scene unfold, my interest piqued. What could she be doing? Is she perhaps interested in this planet's fauna? I'm aware that she enjoys learning new things no matter the subject, but to show interest in such small, insignificant lifeforms—
Before I can even finish that thought, Zenith speaks to herself.
"Snack."
She harnesses the energy of her ki to instantly cook the creature with its heat and then bites into it just a moment later. I observe her actions in silence, completely caught off guard by the abruptness of the act. I hadn't even had the opportunity to assess whether the creature she cooked was potentially dangerous or poisonous.
After swallowing the lizard without any reaction or hesitation, Zenith stands back up and continues her stroll as if nothing had happened, seemingly looking for more 'Snacks'. I decide to use the bot to analyze her state of being and I'm relieved to find that there is nothing wrong with her. That could've been dangerous. Fortunately, Saiyans have a strong immune system, so I don't believe it would be life-threatening, even if it had been poisonous.
But I cannot risk her hurting herself any more than that.
"Zenith."
She pauses, looking at me through the surveillance bot floating above her.
"There's no need for you to devour the forest critters," I tell her. "You already had dinner an hour ago. Leave them be."
Zenith blinks.
"Okay." She obeys, backing off from the terrified critters.
"In the meantime, I need you to do something for me," I add, making her tail swish, seemingly showing her enthusiasm. "Can you point in the exact direction of this so-called Orange Man?"
"I can." She nods, looking up at the sky.
Zenith didn't immediately locate him as I expected her to. Instead, she squinted and then closed her eyes, concentrating on sensing his energy. After a moment of hesitation, she finally pointed to his location, having taken a minute to search for him.
"There." She says. "He's there… Maybe? I think?"
"Are you having trouble sensing him?"
"Uh-huh." Zenith nods. "He's not angry anymore."
I assume that means he's keeping his energy signature low. I see. I believe whenever Zenith sensed him, he was in the middle of a battle. This would explain how she abruptly picked up on his ki that day. Would that perhaps include her dreams concerning him?
I set aside that idea for the moment and decide to deploy Monsoon to emit a scanning wave that can detect all planets within the nearby area, directing its focus to the location Zenith is pointing at. After a brief moment, the wave traverses the entire sector, enabling the ship to pinpoint the presence of more than twenty quadrillion planets. Out of these, only six hundred are found to be inhabited by intelligent life forms.
And out of those planets, Yardrat seems to be one of them, but not Earth. Interesting. From the investigation I've done about this cluster in the past, he lived on the latter, didn't he? Could it be that he's on Yardrat for some reason? I'm unsure. He could be on one of the other planets.
I don't know much about him as an individual, only that he's a catalyst, a Saiyan, and one of the most accomplished warriors in this cluster. I have no information about what he does for a living or what his personality is like.
Regardless, it's time we left this world for Yardrat. If he's there, then that'll be highly convenient. If not, then it's not a problem. We'll look for him after Zenith is done with her ki control training.
"Well done, Zenith." I praise her, making her smile slightly. "Come inside. I believe it is time we made our way to Yardrat."
"Yardat?" She blinks, tilting her head. "What's Yardat?"
"A planet," I answer.
"Oh, okay." She says, obeying and entering Monsoon. As the hatch closes behind her, she stands next to me. "Are we gonna see the Orange Man?"
"If we're lucky," I tell her. "Perhaps he's waiting for us there, and perhaps he's not. Only time will tell."
Zenith appears both anxious and excited, expressing her emotions by wrapping her arms and tail around my leg. With an innocent gaze, she looks up at me and speaks in her usual soft tone.
"Dev?"
"Yes?"
"Is the Orange Man bad?"
"I do not know."
She pauses.
"He looked so scary and mad when I saw him." She said. "Does Dev know why?"
"No."
She pauses again, this time for a little longer.
"Is Yadart cold, too?" She asks something. "I don't like the cold."
"It is much warmer," I answer. "And it's pronounced 'Yardrat'."
"Yardart?"
"Yar-drat."
"Yadrat?" She says quizzically, but she adds enthusiastically before I can correct her again. "Yadrat!"
"…It'll take us some time before we arrive," I tell her, giving up on correcting her and setting course for Yardrat. "Perhaps it would do you well if you rest now."
"Bedtime?"
"Yes," I confirm before leading her to her room. "I shall wake you up when we arrive."
As Zenith settles onto the bed, I reach over to switch off the light and start to move towards the door. However, just as I'm about to take a step, I feel the champion's tail wrap around one of my metal claws, stopping me in my tracks. I look over at Zenith, puzzled by her actions and unsure of what she's trying to convey.
"What is it?" I ask.
She hesitates slightly before answering me.
"Can Dev stay here?"
"Why?"
Once again, she hesitates, covering half of her face with her blanket and looking to the side.
"If Dev is here, then he can protect me from the scary dreams." She confesses.
"That would only be a waste of time, Zenith," I tell her. "Dreams are incapable of hurting you in any capacity. You don't need me here to protect you."
"But—"
"I have other important tasks to fulfill," I add. "Staying with you when I could be finishing my work would be meaningless."
Zenith doesn't argue with that as her hopeful expression drops, her glassy red eyes glistening with unshed tears. Seeing this causes me to feel a… strange negative sensation I've not experienced before, but I disregard it. It's nothing that should distract me.
I'm only being efficient with my time. Why would that be the wrong thing to do?
"I'm sorry…" She whispers.
"If that is all, then I shall see you tomorrow." I ignore her apology and walk toward the exit. "Sleep well."
The door closes behind me, and I head back to the control room. The distance from here to Yardrat is three million lightyears. That's rather closer than I expected.
Twelve hours should be more than enough sleep for her.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As we orbit the planet, I have Monsoon emit a second scanning wave, this time targeted directly at Yardrat. The scan reveals the presence of several million lifeforms, with one lifeform standing out due to its extraordinarily high power level, implying that it does not belong there. So he is on Yardrat, after all. How convenient.
I observe that the planet isn't in any danger, which surprises me. I anticipated that the individual, who is associated with a race known for violence and aggression, would attempt to take over or destroy the planet. This suggests to me that he is either allied with the Yardratians in some way or is unlike the rest of his people, which could be the case. After all, Zenith is mostly Saiyan, and she hasn't shown any aggression outside training as of now.
Again, I don't have much information about him aside from his remarkable achievements, like his victory over Majin Buu and Planet Eater Moro. But it's unclear whether he has accomplished these feats yet. We could be in an age where he's much younger.
Rather, I'd say it's becoming more and more evident that this must be the case. I've just scanned his power level, and while impressive, it's nowhere near as powerful as it should be. But still, he's vastly more powerful than Zenith at the moment, and even if he is weaker, learning from him would still be very productive.
As I prepare a teleporter to send us to the surface of the planet, Zenith exits the bathroom in her usual white outfit, walking up to me with a yawn.
"Have you finished cleaning up?" I ask her.
"Uh-huh." She nods. "I'm hungry now. I want food."
"I'll prepare your meal after we've greeted the Yardratians," I tell her. "Now come. Stay close to me."
Zenith wraps her small hand around my claw as I lead her to the teleporter pad. She looks at it curiously before flinching as it begins glowing blue, her grip tightening in clear unease.
"Zenith," I say, getting her attention. "Can you sense the Orange Man from here?"
She blinks a few times and frowns in focus for a moment.
"Maybe?" She answers, unsure. "It's hard. But I can tell. He's down there."
That confirms it. He is on Yardrat, but there is something interesting I find about the way she answered my question. She didn't sound as sure as before. So the closer she is to him, the harder it is to sense him? Strange.
"Right," I reply tonelessly. "Monsoon, dispatch us to the planet below."
At my command, the teleporter's glow intensifies, causing Zenith to squint in discomfort. When she opens her eyes once more, they widen in astonishment and wonder as she takes in the unfamiliar terrain and landscapes of a completely new planet, a stark contrast to the frozen wasteland of her birthplace.
The landscape is distinguished by vibrant yellow-hued skies, unlike that planet's dark and dull ones. Rich silt and rocky soil, and not a trace of snow anywhere. Imposing stony peaks that tower in every direction…
"It's warm," Zenith says.
"Do you like it?"
"Uh-huh. It's nice." She nods.
"I see."
I look down at her as she starts to relax her tight grip on my claw and looks around with curiosity and amazement, taking in our surroundings as her fluffy tail wags in what I can assume is excitement.
Before I can tell the champion to stay close to me, someone teleports in front of us. No, not someone, but several. Two large different groups of people. The first group consists of taller, pink individuals with larger heads, larger eyes, pointy ears, and two whisker-like appendages on the sides of their heads.
The second group is very different. They have rounder heads, are much shorter, lack ears, and come in two colors: green and blue. Both groups wear very similar clothing, only varying in color.
They are led by a blue one, who I assume to be the grandmaster if the vastly greater mastery of his power is any indication. He looks closer to the second group but has whiskers similar to the first.
"Salutations, people of Yardrat," I greet first, wanting to make a good impression. "I am Dev, the guardian of this Saiyan child, and we come in peace."
The Yardratians shuffle and twitch, either not believing me or simply intimidated by my physical form. It seems that they're anxious.
"Greetings to you as well, Mr. Dev." The leader bows in respect, not showing a hint of worry. "I am Pybara, the Grandmaster of Yardrat. Could you tell us the purpose of your visit?"
"Of course. I have only one simple request." I point at Zenith, who's staring off at something in the distance. "I wish you would train this child in your ways. She was born quite recently, and because of her lack of formal training in ki, I'm… worried that she might hurt herself."
"Hmm…" Pybara glances at Zenith, who still does not pay him attention. "Her energy. It's…"
Pybara pauses, a flash of recognition appearing on his face for a split second before he speaks again.
"Her power is incredible for someone her age. I understand where your worries are coming from." He agrees before smiling again. "I see. Very well, I will take her under my wing."
I was surprised by how readily this person agreed to my request without any hesitation or resistance. I've barely made it here. I had anticipated some reluctance or at least a few questions, but they didn't even inquire about compensation or payment. I wonder why that was the case.
At his quick acceptance, the other Yardratians begin whispering to themselves, showing hesitation and discontent at their leader's choice. Unlike him, they're not as trustful. Although they don't immediately question his decision, they're clearly not happy with it.
"Excellent. You have my thanks, Grandmaster." I say tonelessly, glancing at the champion. "Zenith?"
The Saiyan child does not respond, still absorbed by whatever it is she's seeing in the distance.
"Zenith," I say, this time a little loudly, getting her attention. "Say thank you to the Grandmaster for answering our request."
She blinks and then looks at the Yardratian leader.
"Thank you, Pybara." She nods in gratitude. So she was paying attention.
"Of course, little one." He chuckles, not one bit offended by her lack of respect.
"But Master Pybara, what if they're part of the Freeza Force too?" One of the braver Yardratians mentions. "Should we really be doing this?"
'Too'? Were they perhaps invaded recently?
"Yeah, they could be sending more." Another says. "Maybe they're after the other Saiyan for what he did."
"Now, now, settle down, everyone. There's no need to fear. If those two were here for evil purposes, you would've sensed it already, no?" He responds. "Perhaps it's impossible to sense Mr. Dev's true intentions, seeing that he's a mechanical lifeform, but the Saiyan girl is as innocent as she looks. A heart as pure as our other guests. I very much doubt that they're invaders."
The uncertain whispers begin to quiet down at their leader's argument.
"Besides, if that were the case, I'm sure Goku would lend us a hand once again." He adds, making me pause. That name… "Now then, Mr. Dev, take my hand."
"What for, if I may ask?"
"Why, to take you to our city, of course." Pybara answers. "Unless you wish to fly there instead?"
Hesitant but still interested, I choose to accept his hand. Pybara smiles and nods, putting two fingers over his forehead before he teleports us with the rest of the rest of the Yardratians. The scenery around us changes, and instead of a desolate wasteland, it's now a bustling city with several million energy signatures.
"You can teleport," I state. "Not only that but with very minimal energy consumption as well. Interesting."
"How did you do that?" Zenith asks a lot more directly, looking at him in awe.
"It's one of our techniques. Instant Transmission." He answers, letting go of my claw. "By focusing on an energy signature, you can teleport anywhere. Even to other dimensions, from what I hear."
"Wow…" The champion's red eyes sparkle in amazement.
"From what you hear?" I repeat.
"We're forbidden from leaving the planet using it unless absolutely necessary." He says. "I'm afraid that leaves little to test the true capabilities of the technique. Do not worry, though. Our laws do not apply to guests who learn our techniques."
What a strange, arbitrary law. Is it a symbolic rule of some kind?
"I see." I decide not to dwell on it. I frankly don't care.
"Come. Follow me." He offers. "I'll lead you to my place. We can discuss the little Saiyan's training regime there."
For a while, I follow Pybara in silence as the nearby civilians pause what they're doing to look at me and Zenith as we pass by them, either curious or intimidated by my presence. From what I've already gathered during our short exchange, they're used to sensing people's intents and energy.
But being unable to detect Metanova is making them nervous. Or most of them. Their Grandmaster seems almost too sure of my intentions despite him being unable to sense them. Is it through Zenith that makes him sure we're not here to harm them?
He called her heart 'pure'. I assume that's his way of saying she's innocent? Although she has an incredible intellect, she is merely a toddler, after all. And what is it with him not asking for any payment? It's strange. I'm admittedly left curious.
As a few more minutes pass, I decide to speak.
"If I may ask you something, Grandmaster." I start, getting his attention. "What made you humor my request so readily?"
"Why not?" He answers simply, his head still facing forward. "You've been quite courteous to us, and your request wasn't particularly selfish."
"But I could be using the child for my own selfish gain, and I'm simply lying to you. After all, you said it yourself. You can't sense my intentions." I point out. "Training her for her protection could just be an excuse to study your techniques for myself."
"That may be true, but the little one seems rather attached to you. Verily so." He responds. "And, well, call it a hunch, but something tells me you're just as attached."
Attached? To her? I suppose that's true in some capacity. She's the final hope against my creator. I do not think I can afford to create another Zenith if she dies. I'm… admittedly beginning to believe that her birth was not just a miracle, but fate itself gave me a helping hand.
She's the only one capable of preventing the end. If she dies before fulfilling her destiny, then I'm afraid there's nothing that could be done.
"But a Saiyan with white hair, hmm?" He hums in interest. "I've never heard of such a thing before. I thought Saiyans only had black hair and brown tails."
"Zenith is… special," I answer.
"I can tell." Pybara nods. "For one as young as her to have so much power hidden within her… she has tremendous potential—one in a billion, in fact. I suppose that helped convince me to accept your request. I simply can't help but wonder how she will develop as a warrior."
I pause for a moment, processing his answer, then ask another question.
"One of the other Yardratians mentioned something about another Saiyan," I say. "Goku, I believe?"
"Son Goku, yes. A very excitable but kind Saiyan." Pybara confirms my suspicions. "He crash landed here a few weeks ago after a battle on Namek with the Galactic Emperor Freeza."
Very, very fortunate.
"He even protected my people when a few ne'er do wells came here to conquer our planet. I'm sure little Zenith would be very interested in meeting him—" Pybara turns around to look at the champion before he pauses. "Where did she go?"
I freeze and look down at my side, where Zenith is, and realize that she has disappeared without a trace. How did she— how is this possible?
"She's quite stealthy," Pybara states before chuckling. "I see. Interested in her fellow Saiyan, isn't she? Though, I wonder how she made it to him without us noticing?"
Such recklessness from her will not do. She's a mere toddler. I cannot let her out of my sight any longer than this, so I turn around and rush toward where she is, but before I can make it a few steps away, the Grandmaster speaks.
"Worry not, Mr. Dev. Little Zenith is in no danger." Pybara assures me. "If she's with Goku, then there's no place in this universe she'd be safer in."
"I must check on her regardless," I say.
Pybara chuckles knowingly.
"Very well." He offers a hand. "Then allow me to teleport you there."
I stare at his hand for a few moments before taking it. I cannot risk her life under any circumstance.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
– Zenith –
Spotting the Orange Man stoking the campfire from behind a stone tower, she observed him intently, unsure why she felt the way she did. She felt compelled to talk to him properly, but anxiety stopped her from moving even an inch closer, not knowing what he'd do if he saw her.
Ever since they orbited this planet, Zenith had been feeling a very odd tugging sensation. It only grew much stronger when they landed. It was a strange feeling because the closer she got, the harder it was to sense him, but at the same time, it got much more challenging to ignore this pull.
So, with her curiosity and interest piqued, Zenith did what she saw that blue alien do: put two fingers on her forehead, focused on that tugging sensation, and appeared here. Thankfully, it was far enough that the subject of her interest didn't see her.
Zenith didn't understand what it was. Who was this Orange Man? Why did she feel drawn to his presence? Was he bad? Dev didn't say if he was bad. He even said he didn't know, and Dev knew everything there was to know, right? Maybe he wasn't bad, but maybe he was still dangerous.
As she continued to stalk the potential enemy, she saw him turn around her way, prompting her to quickly hide behind the tower, her heart skipping in anxiety. Zenith waited for a few seconds, then peeked from her hiding place, seeing the Orange Man attending to his campfire again, seemingly cooking something.
He's not orange anymore. She thought.
Indeed. Unlike in her scary dreams, where he wore an orange outfit and exploded with incredible golden energy, he was now wearing similar clothes to the Yardat people, and his power felt quiet and gentle. It wasn't what she'd expected to see.
The memory of that dream haunted her. She found herself in a fiery world on the brink of annihilation, with explosions echoing across the planet and the enraged cries of a golden-haired warrior tearing through everything in sight. The experience was both captivating and deeply frightening for the Saiyan toddler.
In comparison to the dream, he seemed to be the complete opposite. His hair was black, and his demeanor exuded a sense of calm and serenity, a stark contrast to what she had previously witnessed. However, she was certain it was him. While his energy may have been more subdued, she sensed a fundamental resemblance at their core.
A few more minutes passed, giving the young Saiyan enough courage to try to approach him. Her tiny hands clenched in tension, walking slowly toward him, but when the Not-Orange Man stretched his arms, letting out a satisfied groan, Zenith ran back to hide behind the tower; the sudden movement had startled her.
Zenith didn't understand this strange, unpleasant feeling, but she didn't like it. Her heart would start pounding like it would after waking up from her bad dreams. That was it. It was scary. That person scared her. But also he didn't seem like a very bad person after feeling his calm energy.
She didn't know what to trust: her dreams, which showed a ferocious warrior with incredible power, or this person in front of her, who exuded a calm aura. Would he be mad if he saw her? Was that why he kept showing up in her dreams? Did he hate her?
Did she do something wrong? Zenith didn't like that. She didn't know why, but she didn't want him to hate her.
I wanna go back to Dev. She thought.
As she went to peek one more time, Zenith paused, not finding him anywhere. She looked up, right, left— nobody. Did he leave? She still felt him somewhere, so he was probably close, right?
Curiously, Zenith went to investigate the camp as she didn't see him anywhere, taking her first step and—
"Hey there!"
She flinched and gasped, twirling around and releasing a ki blast at the enemy, only for the Not-Orange Man to evade the blast by a hair's width.
"Woah!" He yelped. In a panic, Zenith charged and threw a punch, which he caught. "Wow, you're pretty strong, aren't you—?"
Frightened, Zenith tried to pull her fist away, her heart pounding more and more.
"A Saiyan?!" He exclaimed in shock. "One so small, too! I never thought there were more Saiyans around."
"L-let go…" Zenith mumbled softly, tears gathering in the corner of her eyes and strength leaving her tiny body.
"Woahwoahwoah, don't cry!" The scary man said, letting go of her as she fell on her rear, paralyzed with fear. "Aw, man! I didn't mean to scare you!"
As the toddler was on the verge of sobbing, the Not-Orange Man panicked, not knowing what to do until he paused, flew back to his camp in an instant, and then came back with a large fish skewer that was cooking over the fire.
"Here! You're a Saiyan like me, so you must love food!" He said. "Right?"
Zenith's terrified expression switched to a curious one, and the delicious smell of the fish ceased her cries. She wiped her tears and hesitantly stood up, cautiously taking the skewer double her size off his hand. Her stomach rumbled and growled, reminding her that she hadn't eaten anything yet.
Was he giving her food? But why? She thought he hated her and wanted to kill her. Was the one with golden hair a different person after all? Or maybe he wasn't that bad? He gave her food as Dev did. Bad people wouldn't give Zenith delicious food like this.
"For me?" She asked the older man.
He smiled and patted her on the head. She felt a strange, calming effect wash over her as she felt his hand over her head.
"Yup! All yours." He chuckled. "Enjoy!"
Zenith blinked and bit into the fish, eyes going wide in shock as she tasted a wonderful flavor she never experienced before, prompting her to begin devouring the skewer like there was no tomorrow.
"Haha, it's good, isn't it?" The older man said. "I like 'em too. They taste like the ones on Earth— oh, wow, you're done already?"
"More?" Zenith gazed up at him with an innocent look, giving him back the skewer.
"Sure, you can." He chuckled. "C'mon, I have a few more cooked and ready. You can have as much as you want."
"Really?" Zenith's expression brightened as she followed him to his camp.
"Really." He nodded.
"What's your name?"
"My name is Goku." He answered. "And I'm a Saiyan, just like you."
"Saiyan?" She blinked, leaning to take a look at his backside. "No tail?"
"No tail. I had it removed when I was a kid." He said. "What about you? What's your name?"
"Zenith."
"Zenith, huh? That's a nice name." He praised her, making her smile slightly, her white fluffy tail wagging from side to side.
So he wasn't like the one in her dreams. He was friendly, and his food was delicious, too.
Zenith had decided right there and then that he was good and that she liked him.

At the time of posting this, Sparking Zero early access drops in like 15 minutes. I don't know how its going to affect my writing/posting schedule, but I'll try my hardest to get something done in ten days at the absolute maximum.
I'm beating everyone's ass in that game.
