Life + Activity Updates!

Heyo! :)

I've been quiet the past week or two-ish and been kind of sporadic with online activity as a whole because we have been making big strides in our lives! My boyfriend and I, for the last 3 weeks, have been doing some serious searching for a new house. We decided to buy this time, we are no longer renting, which is great! We have seen probably 20 different places so far and we finally saw one, just yesterday, that we liked enough to make an offer on. We got into a little bidding war with another couple but ultimately we won and we are going today to fill out our community paperwork, credit check, background check, etc. and we will have the news if we're accepted by Friday at the latest! With our current income and credit, they said we shouldn't have a problem getting accepted into the community, but if they deem our credit too low, we can just put down a bigger deposit to secure the place, so either way we're pretty much 95% positive we have the place. It's very exciting.

It's a four bedroom, two full bathroom mobile home in a wonderful little community about an hour across the river from downtown Philadelphia, PA. We're still in NJ, but to be honest I can't even tell. It's rural/suburban out there, which is a huge culture shock to where I have been living! We have a yard, it's kid friendly (not relevant now, but will probably be in the future), pet friendly, and the community rules are very lax. I can garden, decorate, remodel, and have as many vehicles, pets, and kids as I like. Some of you may be thinking, "Yeah well... you're buying a house, that's how it should be!" but if you don't have communities like this in your area, you'd be surprised at how asinine some of their rules can be. We have come across several already that monitor your age and when you can and can't leave the park or start your car.

Anyhow, it needs a little TLC, but most of the work that needs to be done is cleaning. Everything works and functions, and we don't need any internal replacements or fixes. The only downside is that the home doesn't come with a washer/dryer or dishwasher, but we have most of that in our storage unit from the previous home anyway, so it was not a deal breaker. There really isn't anything wrong with the house, it's been vacant for a while and only lived in once, newly renovated, etc. it's a nice place! I'm glad we jumped on it. I'll post more updates as I get them, we don't have a move-in date just yet but we're hoping to be in there by the middle of March (my birthday)!

But yeah! That's why I've been so quiet and haven't been on chats or anything, I've barely been on Twitter. Things are just so busy!
I do have some art I need to post, but I probably won't be able to post them until Wednesday. So keep an eye out!

And by the way! I opened for commissions last Friday, to help with all of this, and I've gotten absolutely no bites. So if you're interested in helping me move, please check out my commissions journal! I have 3 (three) slots open.
