About a month after we broke up I made the commitment to myself to rediscover who I am and get my light back after such a long time of allowing him to snuff it out.
This song resonated with everything I was feeling at the time and in the video I faced the reality of me giving up being a lovable princess, symbolized by the tiara, during my time with him and accept not getting married as we'd planned symbolized by the engagement ring and instead running away from that dull life and racing towards a future where I base my worth on my own perception of myself and not his.
This was filmed in November in Chicago, I'm still amazed I didn't get hypothermia that day lol
