How is it already November????
I’m finally on the mend health-wise after 8 weeks of disaster and barely being able to take care of myself and my dad.
Oooh man I need to make peace with the fact that I have barely gotten anything done because I was so sick.
But guys!!! It looks like my daddy’s transplant was successful and the cancer is gone!!! Whohoooo!
It’s still going to be about another 8months until we know for sure for sure, but all signs point to a full recovery.
He has already played two gigs (if you’re on my Snapchat you saw my dad playing trombone and singing) and although it takes him a couple of days afterwards to recover from playing/singing it makes him super happy and it’s so good to see so many people coming to hear his band play.
I had to go back to Chicago for a couple days because my photo is in the Chicago Lights series that had its opening gallery event last Friday, so one of my dads’ best friends flew in for a week to take care of my dad while I was gone and they had a grand ol time and it really did my Daddy good.
When they picked me up from the airport they were all giddy because they had a surprise - they put up Christmas lights outside and all over the house and they were VERY proud of themselves lol so adorable.
While I miss Chicago and all my friends, I’m so endlessly grateful that I have the privilege of being able to stay in Denver and take care of my Daddy while he recovers.
I wouldn’t be able to do this without you.
Every one of my Patreons is instrumental in me being able to move across country to be my dads’ caregiver and I cannot thank you all enough.
From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU, for being here and supporting my work!
I appreciate you.
Hugs!
