Dangerous Dan Murrell fresh off his victory over Stacy Howard takes on Mr. Big Time himself Ethan Erwin. Erwin had a tougher than expected match with The Kid Chance Ellison, but is now stepping up in competition as he takes on the former two time Singles champion. Dan has been talking about facing his fellow Horsemen and current Singles champ The Outlaw John Rocha in a rubber match to end their trilogy, but he has his work cut out for him against what many consider to be the Rookie of the Year in Ethan Erwin. Erwin is looking to etch his name in history as the first rookie to ever win the Singles belt, but he’ll have to get by the GOAT to do it. You know these two are going to put on an epic Schmoedown match and whoever comes out of this one could go all the way to the final of the tournament. See which great competitor will be left standing at the end and move on to the Finals of the tournament.

As a Murrell fan, this stings. But, every failure is a learning experience. I’m looking at this loss as a positive. I believe that the more Dan plays, the more he’d be able to understand how things work in this current iteration of the Schmoedown. I think he’s still learning the “game” aspect. As he said, his season is not yet over and I can’t wait on who he’s going to face at the qualifying match for #1 contenders match next week.

2018-12-06 04:15:23 +0000 UTCI thought this would be a lot closer. Some of the categories are, by now, super deep cuts. Hence, they make terrible choices for your spinner's choice. I think Dan has some catch-up to do on how the game is being played now, he's not there yet strategically. And Ethan was of course amazing in this match. Hard to imagine anyone beating him "easily". They need to get really lucky.
